  1. Maybe a milder boosted 2.0l?
  2. I think they're meant to be stronger/harder wearing? Either way I believe this is a job that shouldn't need to be visited again in the life of the gearbox!
  3. It's not up to me, my Dad wrote off her EJ! I did!
  4. Might change depending how far he moves then!
  5. Cool, don't forget that the Deck has more power and weight than the MB2 though which may be a factor in the amount of grip they give.
  6. There's two isn't there? Good shout though! Thanks.
  7. My mum's Corsa had both rear springs replaced at the weekend as they had both snapped, amazing how far out the tracking was! To say it felt okay when driving it to the garage to have the tracking done!
  8. Yeah make sure you put matching tyres on the same axle, ditchfin...I mean Nankang on the front and Sunny on back for example. Evergreen or the Ling long greemax are good budget tyres, I think Uniroyal are still quite cheap and are rated. For 16" I would go with 205/45, you get a bit of rim protection and it's spot on for the speedo too.
  9. I found 25 was a good year for me too! I might do it again this year
  10. And mine! I'm 28 in April, grey hair beckons too!
  11. He did, it was dealt with in the end but what a schoolboy error to make!
  12. I forget how young some of you lot are! Cheers
  13. I'm going back more than ten years ago mind, I'm sure they could only have gotten better since! Yeah I've read stories about the racks and raisers, don't need to add to the problems if you were unlucky enough to get a duff rack in the first place!
  14. My mate had an odd one where both his rear tyres wore on the inside and outside quickly but not the middle. We thought it they might have too little air in but it turned out during his last four wheel alignment something on the RTA wasn't tightened up properly on both sides and it killed his tyres off mega quick!
  15. I remember when Nangkang were just lovingly known as the ditch-finder
  16. Yeah, I'll see how I get on and how bothered I am, love the noise though! Made my mum jump when I took her out yesterday
  17. Anything I deem important that would I prefer people not to cut corners on, I'm only thinking of safety/reliability etc, nothing personal. Seen it go horribly wrong for people so I have my reasons.
