  1. Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for the pointers I received here on this issue. I picked up a second-hand distributor for €80 (~£70) about a week ago and fitted it myself over the weekend. Car's running fine now and no more cutting out *touches wood* Now if I could just get the passenger side door card to go back on after replacing the mirror....

  3. No problem, seems mine uses the td80u or the td98u, unless anyone knows better?
  4. Hey, Kink, I presume you meant td86u? That's the distributor for the VTi, from what I gather. That's not going to go straight onto the 1.4, is it?
  5. All the local motor factors seems to stock is the cap and rotor arm, would that be worth trying, do you think? Sorry for all the annoying questions, by the way!

  7. OK, so I appear to have error code 15 - Ignition output signal (I'm presuming the MB2 is ODB1, is that right?) What does that code actually mean, then?
  8. Have had the main relay issue suggested before (and I've had it in other Hondas I've owned), but it doesn't usually cause the engine to cut out, AFAIK, it just makes the car hard or impossible to start when warm. I'll see what the ECU says later. Thanks for the suggestions so far.
  9. Hi all, Just wondered if anyone had come across this issue before. I have an MB2 Civic 1.4 and before Christmas it developed an odd issue. Basically the car starts and runs fine, but after about 6 or 7 minutes it will cut out. It will then turn over but it won't start for a couple of hours. After a couple of hours it will start again on the first turn and run perfectly for 6-7 minutes before cutting out again. I'm new to the car so I didn't know how to check the error codes. I found some information about that so I'll check this evening to see if it is throwing a code. Just seeing if anyone had encountered a similar issue. I should say that I've changed the plugs and air filter, and checked oil and coolant levels and they're fine. Suggestions welcome!
