But the ecu is obd2 the reverse to the earlier models ha ha typical. Not worth the hassle anyway if you ask me rather just hook dials up and see my readings and use my paper clip to count error readings lol

Hey all Does anyone know of any decent mechanics garages tuners round evesham,Worcestershire, stratford way with honda knowledge or have trust in? Ive got my car to near race spec and turbo will be going on soon so i need help with some bits like remaps welding and general clued up racing tuning etc and general stuff any help apreciated cheers all

When i say 5 pin i mean 16 pin sorry for the confusion

It does not work you need full obd2 these vehicle are obd2a the ecu does not send the correct signals through to the 3 pin out to 5 pin etc Ecu is basically obd2 but wiring is obd1 hence obd2a half way in why if you want to fit an obd1 ecu it fits by just shaving the plug, Only way around it all is if you are using a p28 or p30 ecu for remap purposes etc There is a 5 pin data port you have to remove the solder and wire to an ostrich unit or equivalent then from the ostrich to laptop thats as good as it gets. Or buy a full obd2 car that has 5 pin plug ready. They sell these conversion leads as they work in the usa models obd2a but not europe.

Yup standard shizzle. Still better then honda dealer prices tho and they were cheaper then any of the above so cudnt grumble and I was desperate so no time to try the eBay ones etc. Easy still change the hubs to 100 pcd and get the rears for £28 lol

They should have a spring washer on them so a little tighten first with a socket not a screw driver and then bang untighten. Probably crack the old cap but if your struggling to get it off then it's ready for the bin anyway. Fresh cap should have fresh bolts .

Any update or did you give up? I've seen the k line wire on the 5 pin does not line up to the correct pins through the 5pin to 16 pin wire and then the pin is again different on the elm so you have to do a bit of chopping :-B

Who mapped it. out if curiosity? Throwing rods is not good. I've seen some nice low boost 6psi stock setups and there still rolling nice years on. Like anywaything tho all depends on setups, the map, and the driver lol.

Don't want to start an argument but where did 250bhp from 12psi come from? I've seen that figure from 6 psi c4 setups and the stock internals can take up to 350bhp max. To add arp and gaskets not needed for low boost and neither is an fpr. You should never use an fpr because you should have the right pump and injectors to suit the setup you want anyway. It's just another cheap alternative to bypass buying bigger injectors and there's massive write ups

Do your own research buddy as you will need to understand it all anyway and collect a decent kit. Them ebay ones are cheap and naff but okay for low boost. Also to mention you will need an uprated fuel pump, injectors and a remap. On top of that kit.

Ive just changed mine euro car parts, nyanza, unipart all have the wrong oem part numbers and will supply you the prelude ones abs ring does not fit on. I got mine from local jap shop and ordered a blue print ones cost £167 each you can try chances on ebay but make sure they say only the mb6 or mc2 no others will fit. I was gunna do this but needed them ASAP.

The files are tiny and the maps can be freely shared no legal shizzle. Just an idea anyway
