strange one, but since my recent game of fuel light roulette, my low fuel light is now stuck on... have tried ECU reset and brimming the tank several times, any idea how i can get it off. also on a seperate note any idea why my fan has stopped working. its had stopped then only worked on speed 3 now nothing at all???

I was trying to get to the central locking relay behind centre console and had tried to remove the heating controls unit, gave up and put everything back together, but now my vent position switch wont work, i can turn the know to all the different position but it went change the vents, so i took centre console out again thinking the wire had come loose off the back of the selector but that is all perfect can see it moving the cable when you change selector position. any idea where alese it could have come loose, as coming into the cold weather i could really do with having the fan on the windscreen...

right i did more research on this, the p9k ecu in the mc2 / mb6 is OBD2B so should work. want i need to find is the "K-Line" cable at the diagnostics plug. thats what the elm327 uses to talk to ECU... was told its a Blue / White cable. anyone know if this is in 5pin lead behind glove box or 3 pin plug???

i went to electrical wholesaler, bought 10m of 16mm black panel flex and about 20 16mm sq lugs and 1m 35mm panel flex. i made a new earth from battery terminal to chassis beside battery tray. and the linked everything in a ring type from the battery back to the 35mm lug. black panel flex doesnt stand out as much.

BUMPY.. on this... have everything together now, Pi, Screen new centre console to house screen, galaxy nexus mirrored on pi, so i just need to get Torque to connect now...

i have rainsport 2 on and have noticed a big difference in wear between front and rear, but i do have 1 trip to the nurburgring on this set, will let front get worn out and get another set for the front, camskill are about £30 per tyre at the moment.

Ok on my deck there are to plugs together 3 & 5pin. icy of the is the data line to ecu. As I got a 5pin to one adapter but I can't connect to the ecu through my torque app as the Bluetooth adapter can't access the ecu...

expensive enough if you dont have a breaker handy, very few mb6 / mc2 for breaking in ireland... took about an hour and a half to sway out, need to do drop links and a load of bushes now...

Yeah that was my thinking as well. Maybe a cv or something but not the middle of the shaft. s a nice aerodeck drag racing that Sunday. Some fast little Hondas there.

Was down the country for a drive the other day. Pulled out of a junction with a little tooooo much Power and pop. This happened https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5qra9q_2NyVRHJwUWw0cDRlTjQ/edit?usp=docslist_api https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5qra9q_2NyVZ0cxWnlWTTN1cXM/edit?usp=docslist_api

Right bit of slow progress on this as my trip to the Nurburgring emptied the Car fund... 'll have spare centre console that is with my cousin who is busy making up a nice housing and mount for a 7" touch screen where the radi, clock, hazard button and that are at the moment. Also have the elm327 Bluetooth unit which works with all other cars hut mine at the moment. t going to use Pi now for diagnostics now but instead I have a spare smartphone which I am going to mirror on the pi as the has more processing power to run torque. all this will be left in the boot. When it's all done up I will out and software and coding for anyone who is interested.

Same here. Have the 5 to 16 pin lead. Can connect to elm327 but won't connect to ecu. Plug into mates e93 Ben works straight off. did one doctor and torque and neither work any ideas. Tried manually selecting protocols and all still no joy.

I was looking in the engine bay today when changing ignition leads and noticed the 2 earth straps, one from above aircon rad to rocker cover, and one from body to gear box were looking worse for wear... now i know you can buy HKS earthing kits for €100 but i can go out and just as easily buy 8 gauge or 4 gauge cable and do my own, only question i have really is where do i want to earth from and too in the engine bay... anyone have a wiring diagram or that for one of these earthing kits, or what needs a decent earth on a b18???

1550 miles later and I am in my door... Good to be home and Honda didn't even miss a beat even sitting at 7k rpm from Manchester to holyhead...

quick update, been out and checked IABs doesn't appear to be working... i have checked with engine on and off and the little lever on the base of the diaphram doesnt budge at all... what creates the vacuum to operate this or how can i try force a signal to this to see if its electrical or mechanical fault???
-
Thanks guys... only engine mods on this is a tenzo r air intake. What I cant understand was IABs was working last time I drove it hard. HAve my service kit. What oil do you guys use. Was thinking castrol but heard some bad rumours... bearing in mind this service will probably see 2.5 - 3k km across europe at high revs....
-
Will try these this weekend. Any hits on getting at the oil filter bearing in mind my hands resemble small who else. Or is the where ones niece or nephews small hands come in handy.
