  1. took me just shy of two hours for all four!!
  2. Fairly simple really. Wheel off, un bold the bottom of the front strut, take of the fork, put a bottle jack under the strut, pump up and take the pressure, undo the top of the strut but leave the top bit in the car, let down the jack and there you have it spring is out! Easy!! as for the rear all you have to do is unbolt the lca arm and put a jack under, undo the top of the damper rod and let down. simples!!!!
  3. very weird! checked as much wiring as i can all seems good. Could be the switch or summat!??
  4. Hi all, just fitted 4 lowering springs this morning without using lowering springs. Real easy and quicker than using them!! Any one wanna know how?
  5. Fixed it. Abit strange really. Checked all the fuses, all the bulbs, replaced the brake light then tried the lights. Still nothing. then turned on the head lights still nothing, flashed the main beam and now there working again, strange but seams like all is fine!!
  6. Can anyone let me know which fuse controls the headlights? I have a problem. the head lights are not working. The side lights are as well as the main beam but not the normal head lights. I also have a brake light out. I have checked the bulbs and there not blown. Anyone got any clues?
  7. om only 3hours drive from holland you see. i had my astra vxr/opc mapped there a couple of years ago. near sevenum!! cost me 300euros and company in germany wanted 850 for the same software!!!!
  8. no problem mate, im english living in germany. lol kn ow of anyone in holland that can map my car to suit the 1600 head?
  9. cheers mate, but i did the work last week. Thanks though, ill keep the info saved just incase i forget the next time lol
  10. yes yes i know that, i meant use my wiring loom/harness, with the d16 head and ecu. Dont fancy changing the whole wiring. I was wondering if i could get a d16 head without vtec, run it for the time being, then stick a hotter camshaft in it then have the ecu mapped to suit.??
  11. did it myself, cost me less than 100 all in!!
  12. yea makes sense to have the belt for the head. i got a d14z4, if i get the heads from above would the ecu be compatible with my loom? is mine odb 1? if so wouldnt i need the d16z6?
  13. yea thats the one i could get but iv been to the scrappies over here and there is quite a fer 1600s. if i can find out which one is best then i could make them an offer. Whould i need the 1600 timing belt or the 1400?
  14. Hi all, im in need of some pics of a d16 head, vtec and non vtec. I wanna compare the valve sizes compared to a d14. or does anyone know the valve sizes in both? all help is greatly appreciated!!
