There is a low fuel light, it should come on as it hits the reserve, mine was then it started to come on occasionally, but now doesn't come on at all, I haven't figured out what the problem is.
-
I ended up stripping the iacv and fitv off and cleaned them with carb cleaner along with the throttle body, also the wires were the wrong way round on the iacv plug and I had to run a new wire from the iacv to the ecu, this sorted the problem out, hope this helps sort you out, I've figured out it pointless asking for any help on here for anything apart from what wheels or spoiler to put on!

ive just swapped out my d14z4 and fitted d16y2, the problem i am having is the injector closest to the air filter is gushing out and the other 3 injectors pulse as they should, tried fitting the ecu from the d14 and the injectors operate correctly. i presumed it must of the been a duff ecu that came with the engine, so i bought a p28 and the problem is still there. Tried swapping the injectors around and it doesnt make any difference. the problem stays where it is and doesnt follow the injector. The engine is obd2a and is converted with an ecu harness to obd1 at the ecu, Is there any wiring that needs changed for the injectors? this has already resulted in the head and the sump getting filled with fuel and choked the exhaust and cat up.

I need to repin an Iacv after an engine swap from d14z4 to d16y2 it's obd2a with an conversation harness to obd1. I've hard wired the vtec which is working, but I'm getting an error code 14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve. The iacv has been swapped to a two wire one and I presume it needs repining on the harness, but I don't know which I don't know which pin to move to from the obd2a harness to the obd1 harness? Any help would be appreciated as this is really starting to pee me off now 😡 Cheers

That already fits, I currently have a d16z6 inlet manifold fitted to the d14z4, it's just the wireing, wasn't sure if the engine loom will click directly in to the mb dash loom, struggling to find any info, seems like no one has done this on an mb before 😡
-
Can anyone tell me if the d16z6 engine loom will plug into a mb2 d14z4 or will it need modified or an adaptor harness fitted???
-
Can anyone tell me if the d16z6 engine loom will clip directly into the d14z4, wasn't sure if all I would need is the odb2a - odb1 jumper harness and wire the vtec in directly or if there is any other wiring to do? Just trying to cover all possibilities before I do the swap and then get stuck with it not starting. Cheers

Cheers for the help mate ðŸ‘

It's cheaper doing the engine swap, by the time you d**k about doing the head gasket and timing you could buy a b18 conversion, I've got the d16z6 engine and the ecu to suit, think the only thing I will have to do is hardware the vtec to the ecu, I dont suppose anyone knows which pin the vtec wire's to on the ecu?
-
Is the above ecu off an mb2 a obd2a or b? Need a harness for and engine conversation? Cheers
-
I'm hoping, just wasn't sure if there was anything else apart from the vtec wire I would have to do
-
Can anyone give me information on doing a d16z6 swap to an mb2, it's getting a full swap with a p28 ecu and then the vtec wired indirectly to the ecu, is there anything else I need or any problems I can expect to come across? Cheers
-
Can any one advise the location of the central locking module on an mb2, I presume it's in the same place as most mb's but can't actually find anything for it on the net? Cheers
-
Looks like that's the stuff I'm after, but I'm English and can't read that. Cheers for the link though
-
Can anyone advise on what is needed to do on this, I have an mb6 centre arm rest with the switches and can get the rest of the stuff easily. Just not sure what is needed to get it working and how much of a pain in the rectum it is to do? Cheers
-
Silly question, can anyone tell me if a mb2 d14z4 has an idel air control valve on the inlet manifold? Cheers

Will log on on the laptop tomorrow, if I can I will put videos on of the dyno runs on
-
Yeah would be worth sticking it on before and after, will find the closet one to my mates garage where I do the work on it, can you upload video's on here or just pics?

More work done this week, Induction kit Dc sports 4-2-1 ceramic manifold fitted Stainless steel decat, Straight through stainless steel mid section Polished alloys rocker cover Crome upper front strut brace. Work this weekend Air con removal, new belts and oil change and fit vti front lip wrapped in carbon vinyl

There's hundreds of threads on the net about people saying they have noticed improvement as soon as it's don on d14 engines using d16 inlets, I've just fitted a Dc sports ceramic 4-2-1, stainless steel hi flow cat, stainless steel cat back powerflow system with straight through mid section, induction kit, air con removal and going to get the ecu remapped to remove some of the crap that's not needed http://www.civiclife.net/board/topic/10 ... try1331141

Because you get power and torque gains, with the mods I've already done its a cheaper alternative to an engine swap.
-
I'm thinking of replacing my inlet manifold on a d14z4 with one of a d16z6, do I need to swap the throttle body with it, and what else would I need to do? Any help would be great, as I've only started looking in to this

The problem isn't the o2 sensor, the error is p0420 cat is working below efficiency (not cleaning the emissions so the O2 sensor thinks the cat is failing or failed)
-
Yeah as I said its been extended and moved from the from the manifold to the end of the 2-1 down pipe in front of the cat, does that sensor spacer just fit into the decat pipe, it's the first time I've seen them, cheers for the link mate
