Just installed a DC sports ceramic 4-2-1 and decat, the O2 sensor on the manifold has been moved to the end of the 2-1 branch in font of the decat, and the O2 sensor from the cat has been refitted in to the decat pipe. Was driving today and the eml came on, when I checked it on the code reader the error was for the cat working below the level it should (obviously with it now haveing a decat) does anyone know how to avoid this or is it something I will have to put up with? Cheers for the feedback lads, apparently Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax is excellent for carbon vinyl, seen some on eBay item no:- 150965550114 it's the cheapest I've found it. Haven't had much of a chance to do nothing the last couple of weeks, pain in the arse jobs come in to do, mot is due this week so I've got to get some height on the suspension so I can get it up on the ramps to have a look underneath and see what needs doing underneath. Not a lot I hope would rather put the money in to some more mods.

I t was easier than I thought I was going to be, going to get the roof done once I get a decent days weather, do you know how to get the runners out of the roof, can't find nothing about getting them out

Yeah definitely, been toying with wrapping the rest in matte white, bit different to everyone else

Got quoted £360 to paint the bonnet of one fella or £19 plus £12 postage for a 5mtr roll, cheers mate

Mine is spot on no creases or air bubbles, was happy with it for a 1st attempt, the roof will be a bit easier to do now with the height it's at

cheers mate, was a bit of a pain in the arse to start but once it started going on was ok, took about an hour and a half

and i still have to do the 'H' badge on the back, i ran out of primer and paint, get it done this week at some point.

i wasn't sure what model they were off, but i like them compared to most aftermarket, not sure if they look to small still

alot of work in the last couple of weeks. WORK DONE:- New alloy oil sump installed Full service (ngk iridium spark plugs, k&n flat panel filter,fuel filter, cabin filter, oil and filter change) Rear brakes (drums and shoes) Full coolant change New vehicle speed sensor New ECU, immobiliser, ignition, boot lock and door lock fitted Full set of coilovers fitted and dropped about 100mm from the standard height the car was. New drop links and bushes fitted Cat back powerflow fitted Bonnet sanded and wrapped in carbon (peeling lacquer) Heater control panel, ash tray, and gear surround wrapped in carbon Alloys changed from scabby standard 14" to 15" black gloss (think they are described as fan blades, standard wheels of a vti-s i think) Sanded and painted badges and chrome trim in satin black WORK STILL TO DO:- Carbon wrap the roof (once i get a decent days weather) Front pads and disc Uprated rear control arms Pictures to follow

Spot on, cheers for the replies, just didn't want to take it off if the majority snap and have it rattling about.

Can anyone tell me if the bolts on the mb grills can be removed once the grill comes off, I've tried to take it off an so far 3 of the bolts have snapped with the plastic nut on, didn't want to take the rest off incase they snap and can't be removed. I'm painting all the chrome black front and back and only have the grill left to do. Cheers

That's what I was thinking about the flange between the mid section and the cat, I know a lad that works at powerflow he seems to think that's all it should need, cheers for the replies lads

Can anyone tell me if a power flow exhaust (cat back) off an mb6 will fit an mb2, and what mods would be required? Cheers

Can anyone point me in the right direction of which tactile switches the mb2 key fob use, they are worn and not working, the bright spark at maplins give me the wrong ones, apparently. Is it a flush fit tactile switch or do they have legs on them to solder? Cheers

Does anyone know if an accord type s spoiler will fit an mb, without it being to much of a ball ache to fit?

just fitted a new vehicle speed sensor, started it up worked ok drove it, i noticed when i started it up the green key immobiliser light flashed longer than normal, turned the car off then tried turning it back on and the car wouldn't start, electrics work, all the lights come on the dash apart from the immobiliser light, all you can hear under the bonnet is the relay click thats it, when i opened the bonnet the 3 wires from harness to the vss which are lose (previous owner cut the plug off the harness) two of them were touching. not sure if ive blown the alternator, starter motor or the ecu. ive checked all the fuses, all seem ok tried bump starting, sounded like it was trying, but couldnt manage it

Can anyone with a mb2 d14z4 engine have a look at the vss on top of the gear box and have a look to see which wire goes to which pin on top of the sensor from the harness, a photo would be good if possible. The plugs been cut from the harness and I have a new sensor coming tomorrow.
