What's wrong with the engine? I feel your pain lol
-
Light look ace mate! Brakes will be awesome once you get them all built back up. I had 5000k hids in my accord, they still had a slight blue to them but not as excessive as some you see.
-
The handles all there but I can feel holes around it. The bottom of that door is rusted as well. Only part I the car that let's it down tbh. Going to remove wing mirror to see if I can fix it.

My PB MB9 Aerodeck! Engine rebuild in progress
marv replied to vtec2011's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Looking good man! You thinking out tinting the back windows yourself? It's something id like done on my deck as well. -
Lol that's my partners first car and tbh it's been a great wee motor! 1.25 zetec engine which is great for what it is. Anyways, managed to get the outside washed and polished yesterday. I need to get myself a new clay bar kit as mines years old and the outside could really do with it. Interior will be done this evening after work. Sorry about the bad pics. And the offending door handle and wing mirror.
-
No problem guys. Most bits will be going onto the deck, be some interior bits left and they're all in good condition.
-
Took a pic this morning of the 90s fleet
-
I'm hoping to keep all this work under £500 as that's what I was expecting to pay for another engine for the mb. Could always take seats from mb but won't match the rest of the interior.
-
Well that's hopefully the plan lol
-
Guaranteed!lol
-
Seems like it was just the filter as I couldn't see a leak once I started, and let it warm up. I convinced it will come up great after a good cleaning session
-
I'd still like to get a leak down test done to try find out the cause. Will probably end up rebuilding it I think.
-
Your build thread inspired me to find a cheap deck lol
-
Yeah it's cream leather, but it's not in the best condition need to buy some products to try bring it back, any recommendations? I believe it's a 1.6 se, I'm unsure in the engine code but il have a look. I only drove it home from the buyers house and didn't really go over 60mph due to the oil leak. Hoping to turn her into a have decent looking motor and it's perfect for a family wagon! Thanks for the positive feedback guys! More pics will come over weekend. Feel like I can't be without an M now lol

Hi guys, this is the aerodeck that I picked up last night for £125 it's motd and taxed, has full leather interior and a tow bar. Bodywork is generally very good with now scuffs or rust on the arches, wee sent on passengers door and te drivers door has rust and handle has tape over it along with the wing mirror. When I went to view it it was apparent that it had a pretty bad oil leak used this to my advantage though, as under investigation I spotted it was just a hole in the oil filter, told the guy it must be a gasket and will cost a lot Plans are to take all the good bits off my mb6, brakes, hubs, wheels, exhaust etc and fit them to the deck. Il remove the door and wing mirror and front lip and get a price on getting them painted by my mates brother. All suspension components will get swapped over and eventually the engine once I rebuild it. I managed to get the oil, filter and plugs done tonight after my 12hr shift. Really really needs a clean inside and out, hope to do this at weekend. Here's some quick pics from tonight... The holy filter lol

You will need a 40/40 prop valve from a non abs honda. Guy on ek9.org sells them. Would then fit the brake pipes from the abs unit to the prop valve.
-
I'd buy them and see how they are, if you don't like them then I'm sure someone on here would be interested in them! I know I would if someone local offered me a set for that price

Working 12hrs ATM but will try get pics up. Problems I see are.... Oil leak Abs light Drivers door handle and wing mirror held on with tape lol (will get mb's door painted to replace it) Rear de mister not working Tail light out Apart from that it drove fine, made the 45 miles home and was comfortable. Can't wait to get stuck into in and get it all cleaned to see how it looks. It's a 99 se or es model in blue. Love how much room it has in the back
-
If I hadn't bought it then he was going to scrap it! Seemed like to good a car to scrap in my eyes. Just need time to give it a GOOD clean (think it's been used as someone's van) and a service.
-
Well I bought the deck for a grand total of...£125 taxed till end of June as motd till late august! It needs work doing to it but I made it home lol has a really bad oil leak but I had a quick look underneath and it looks like a hole in the oil filter. Used this to knock the money off as I said it looked like a big job lol il get a thread started over the next few days.

Matt's Multiple MB adventures. Back to the G99P
marv replied to Matt_N's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Haha that is low! How's the ride? -
Yeah that's what I'm thinking! Probably break the mb and just fit all the good bits to it. Dougie I'm just trailing through gumtree,eBay and some local forums.
-
Not looked at the mb for well over a week now been trying to view some local decks. Missed out on a cracker of one with the 1.5 ecotec engine. Hoping to go view another 99 model tonight which is taxed and motd but the guy thinks it requires a cv joint. He's only wanting £180 for it. If this falls through then there's a hatchback just along the road for £400 but I'd ideally like a deck. Still hoping I can find someone with a leak down tester so I can get to the bottom with what's wrong with this engine.

So many nice neat touches on this car. Great build!

Cool mate. Gonna check insurance today and then make him an offer.
