Cheers! Not sure on mudflaps, I'll look around at some 9th gens with flaps (ooerr) and see what they look like. I'll have a root through your thread

I got it. Impressed with it so far. Massively economical yet pokey and fun to drive. I'll get some photos when I get a chance, although it's just a boggo standard Civic. I have a few little things I want to do initially like wind deflectors perhaps, but really I just want to drive it for a while and enjoy it.

Well, I might be back... I've had 3 years with the scoob but life has changed, I'm getting married and I need something a bit more sensible. Viewing a 2013 Civic 1.6 I-DTEC at the weekend, so I may be back to the Honda family soon

Went to the Prodrive factory today for a Subaru event. The factory is closing and moving to a new building so a last celebration. There were easily 700 Scoobies from all over the country.
Main reason for posting though is we got to look in the heritage centre where they keep a selection of race prepped cars, including this Accord touring car

I need to get her cleaned up all shiny and sexy. Sadly, I'm pretty much broke until end of the month. Insurance gave me a bit of a pounding

2004 WRX Wagon with Prodrive Performance Pack. I've not actually managed to figure out how much extra BHP that means over the stock 217(ish) WRX wagon, but apparently it could be 268BHP! Either way, it's rapid as fook!

Link above, but here you go (Massive photo!)

Well, it's been fun gentlemen, but alas I am no longer a Honda owner.
Essentially my sister was desperate for a car and doesn't have a lot of money. So, being a marvellous brother and all that, I gave her my little civic. She'll need to get the brake master cylinder done but other then that it's a free car. I figured I don't really need a car right now, and I've been looking at Subarus anyway, as previously posted.
Anyhow, she's had it for a few weeks and not killed it yet (thankfully). And, well. I picked up a WRX wagon at the weekend
Thanks for all the knowledge and friendly welcome gents. This is a great community

Grids for me too, but in anthracite/gun metal

Which is exactly what I did

It'll go for more than I want to pay, but this is the one I really like the look of...
-
Yeah, that's where my head is at too. Possibly a "too good to be true", get what you pay for situation.

I think it's a one man band to be honest. The more I think about it, the more I want to avoid.
For reference: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321352038972 (Sorry, I know it's not a Civic )

It's also the fact that I'd have to drive down to Tewksbury, which is a ball ache in itself.

Hey chaps. I wondered if anyone can advise on this. I'm looking at a car that is currently SORN but has MOT. I believe it's with a dealer but it's not totally clear from the eBay ad. Assuming it is, and he has dealer plates, can I test drive it?
I'm not sure how insurance works in that scenario?

All this Subaru talk stems from my Brother's obsession. He gave me a taste for scoobies, and now he's gone I really want to scratch the itch.
-
Did you manage to fit the windscreen washer jets mate?
Sadly, no. They squirted down onto the bonnet, and didn't actually sit too well, being a little loose.
I keep seeing temptation - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141238370688

Yeah, I have to say, the legacy 2.5v6 was on the list

A while back I actually had my heart set on a Forester, lol

it's an Impreza wagon 2000 2.0 sport (can't afford insurance on a turbo!) Insurance quote seemed to be exactly what my current insurance cost me. Tax is way more though, £230 for 12 months.

Guys, I'm ashamed to admit, but I'm having dark thoughts... I've been wanting a Subaru for a while, since well before I bought my civic (various reasons, mostly because of my Brother's influence). I spotted one which I might go look at.
IF I decide to do it, my buddy is interested in my civic. He knows it's history (hell, he was the one who advised our other mate, who I bought her off, to buy it in the first place). So, I'll think on it and see what happens.
