  1. I just stumbled across a headlight restoration kit from a parts shop I'll try and dig it out of the garage and find out the make. Yeh I am going to put a new exhaust on it I just wanted it on the road quick so I just went for a cheap quick fix :) I have been looking for a new system but don't want it to be too big and loud.

  2. Ok so some people will have seen my MB6 in the new members section, but as I've returned from holiday and started to work on it I thought if start a build thread. It's going to take a while to get it to where I want it to be as I'm in the middle of moving house and I don't think the missus will be happy with me spending too much money on the car haha!

So.. As up to now my main focus was to get her road worthy

When I got her she was in need of a new battery with being stood for 3 years! But fired up first time with the jump leads like it had never been left! The car had only covered 53k with FSH and MOT's to back it up. The first thing I did was stick a new battery in only to find out that the alternator had died. And if anybody has changed an alternator on an MB6 then you'll know how much of a fiddly job it can be. Once I'd changed the alternator and battery I thought I'd take it for a test drive to see if I could find anymore problems and the first thing I noticed was the exhaust blowing it's a*s off!

After I'd removed the old centre pipe it pretty much just fell to pieces so I just replaced it with a new standard centre section

The second thing I noticed was when I tried to stop :-/ it was like my break peddle was spongebobs head! Which was a result of the front offside caliper being seized. With these few bits being fixed the car was good to go and passed it's mot first time RESULT!!

Since then I've cleaned up the headlights

    After:

And swap the old rocker cover for a full polished one

    After:

And that's where I'm up to so far (apart from changing pollen filter and blower resistor)

I've got a lot of plans for this car and can't wait for it to be finished :D it's only money that's slowing me down haha!
