  1. I'm looking at getting them riveted arches for my mb but I've only seem one, Google image "wide arch mb6" and it's a vti-s..... But my question is, has anyone got some and would they work on the rear arches due to the rear doors being in the way :/ thanks.
  2. I don't know what the problem was, but on the third run there was a little poof of smoke. I didn't know it was sorted until the drive home. Goes well now though. I'm guessing the cat was blocked, guy said it was the dizzy but dizzy was replaced a few weeks ago
  3. It's been on the road and was pushing a whopping 82hp. So he gave it a third run, bit of a poof of black smoke, and made 95hp. But its now running properly. Going to go back and do another run to see what power it is because it wasn't rolled again after it was fixed.
  4. Nope complete stock... As far as I'm aware. Except brakes.
  5. I reset ecu yesterday too and I noticed it had a flat spot at around 2k rpm. So I'm really hoping it hasn't f**ked the car up. Hasn't help me any. How much would you say it's worth if I put it up for sale? It's a clean car apart from this problem.
  6. My first guess was the car but I just assumed it would bog down all the time :/ it's just at that specific rev range it goes. No wonder you sold it krzys it's a right pain in the arse of a car. Eml still shows cam shift sensor but dizzy has been replaced with an original one and not sure if the code has just stored :/ bloody car. Will sell and get a corsa haha.
  7. Cleaned solenoid out (was good anyway) and reset ecu, still no luck. Guessing it's going to have to be a garage job on the rolling road and see what they find. Let's hope I don't waste more money here too.
  8. I'm about to do a bit of work on the car, I've read up about the iab works at 4.5k rpm if I'm right. Could that vacuum get blocked maybe? I'm not 100 percent I know what I'm talking about but with vtec engaging surely it would be something to do with that as it's a losd of power from then on... Even in vtec and revs slow way down.
  9. Cheers I'll check it tomorrow and see what happens, at least it's running lol. But why at 4.5k rpm? Is that where the sort of power range comes in?
  10. I'm not sure, I haven't stripped it down. Would that happen?
  11. Forgot to mention that I have noticed the centre console getting hot. The bit where it dips in under the handbrake lever.
  12. I'm not sure where this belongs as it could be a blocked exhaust, electrical problem, or mechanical. But as I reach 4.5k rpm engine gets deeper and feels like it hits a wall, same in every gear and the Revs take forever to rev up after that rpm. Before then everything is fine and pulls well. *vtec engages but when it does there's some sort of tss-tss-tss-tss sound and I'm not sure if it's exhaust. *oil is ok *did have a cone filter on there but taken off and put standard box on to see if it was that. *there's also a rattle in the exhaust in the pipe between cat and middlebox. Hope someone can help me diagnose this as this will be the final straw for this car, I've tried to love it but it won't let me lol. Some people say timing, but seems to pull OK until 4.5k rpm. Thanks in advance, hope you can help me out.

    Damn police

I was told by a tester after strongly sticking to it about the plates being legal, he said change the headlight bulbs and he will stamp the ticket. So I'll do that, get it stamped, give it a week of two and put yellow bulbs back in. Then I'm lowering it with an exhaust so they will probably pull me again. I'm just going to have to keep an eye on my mods to make sure they are legal and declared and then they can't really say s**t I spose I'll put in a complaint though. Barstools!

Thanks krzys I just needed a second opinion. They didn't fine me. The cars standard apart from bulbs and plates so a bit peed off. I didn't get a badge number unfortunately because they get even arsier if you start answering back :/

    Damn police

So I got pulled the other night and was told I had illegal mods. He said my pressed plates are illegal even though I pointed out to him that they were made by autostyling, "that's their post code and here's the British standards number (bs au 145d)" wouldn't accept it, then he said my headlights were illegal. Said he could give me a 400 pound fine for them. Checked with an mot tester for plates.... He had some to go on his car that day from the same place :/ checked online and I'm aloud them. As far as yellow bulbs go after some Google searching they are legal too. I'm I wrong with these too?
