Topped up oil and now it's smoking a fair bit , so looks like I'm going to cut my losses and look for something else

Car is on 140k all 4 cylinders were 140 psi , car hot and wot , I did post earlier as I think head gasket is on its way out , bubbles in rad , and some times pops the expansion tank, yeah it does smoke a little , thinking about getting a leak test done , when cold it don't feel that eager to rev , think it need a bit of tlc , valve clearance, cam belt and water pump , and oil change and plugs , just don't want to spend loads on it if the engine is past it

Hi , I've just done a compression test , and it's low across all cylinders 140 psi , what can this be , thanks

Thanks lads , yeah should have said this is on a b18c4 , it been like it a while now but the car has been on and of the road over the last 4 years, it seems to drive ok and I'm getting 34 mpg , no oil loss , just a little down on power when she's hot , will do a pressure test tomorrow , it doesn't over heat , some times it blows the expansion tank then the temp gauge goes up and it burps its self and come back to normal temp just don't know how long it will last , have only had it back on the road a week

Hi I've got a what I think is early signs of head gasket going , bubbles in the rad and soapy like frothing when revving engine and it sometimes blowed the expansion tank , it's not showing any other signs and is running fine , is it worth trying some sort of seelent that you add to the water as I can't afford to have the gasket fixed at the moment, thanks

Hi all can someone explain how I test the abs sensor , got code 11 front rite short , is it just a case of changing it , and is there a reset process, thanks
