onejdmcivic1984
Was wondering if anyone has a PIC of a METAL Inlet Manifold for a MB4? My one is stock plastic and found this unusual given its role in the engine. Basically my inlet manifold has snapped a connector and needs replacing as the piping route is integral to keeping my engine temp stable. It has been overheating badly but a temp fix by a garage I go to has kept it going but need to source a second hand one. Adam Rafique has a metal one but not sure what if it fits. I will get Adam to post the pix as a reply

onejdmcivic1984
Adam has one but cos its metal (and stock) it doesn't look like the plastic one I have above. Anyone shed some light on whether they do a metal one for the D16? I assume the D14 and D15 has the same plastic inlet manifold?
onejdmcivic1984
This is the one Adam is selling
EmZvr
You need D16Y8 intake manifold. It's the same as yours but metal so it will be plug and play. D15Z6/D15Z8 also works but you need to block the EGR. Also D16Z6/D16Y3/D16Y2/D16Z9 will work but will need some modifications of the coolant lines and you'll need their throttle cable. Adam's manifold is a very bad design, don't even think about it. Plastic intake manifolds have benefits too - less weight, smoother walls and they are heat isolated so no heatsoak
onejdmcivic1984
Thank you reply. I'd prefer a metal one as the plastic part from the intake manifold snapped off causing my carto overheat :/
onejdmcivic1984
Is a D16Y8 manifold from a CRX?
