Swap D14A2 to D16y3

Hello,

Has anyone tried to swap D14A2 to D16y3,

Engines are quiet similar, so the question is,

Do I need to change only block or engine head and ECU also necessary?

covert your harness to OBD1

engine mounts are fine

gearbox and shafts should be fine but d16 is better

I have ECU p17, hasn't it OBD1?

And what kind of pars are different in these two?

I think, if change only bock, fuel sprays and may be ECU, engine will become D16y3

japcarmad, as I see you have mb1, your second gear shifts also slow, or it is only MA8 sickness?

And what about gearbox?

I heard that Rover has the same Honda engine (d16y3), but it looks like different,

Different is only head cover or something else?

you will need to change the ecu. the rovers engine only has a different rocker cover i think.

im sure the d14 gearbox will fit.

Just change ECU? wires are the same?

im not sure the connections are the same you might need a harness converter.
