So you cant get good power unless you get good pistons

Depends what your goal is.. If you want pure NA power that will easily beat tegs then I suggest pistons, cams and proper mapping = bucks

If you want to start slowly, first upgrade is cams, then followed by MAPPING! its very important to adjust them to optimal timing. I spent 3 hours on the dyno adjusting my cams / degree power run by power run..

so what can be done to the d series engines compared to a b?

As said.. Turbo but then again, alot of people we know ditched the D series and put a b series in, albeit B16 or B18

i tried to get my d15z8 ecu remapped but cant,went to falkland performance and they said they cant do it to that type of ecu????????? 1"£££$££"! 1"£££$££"!! 1"£££$££"

You can fit a piggy back ecu to may car with a ecu and then just map that . Rich.

ok like a dpt chip on a diesiel in which is a piggy back inbetween jobby it goes between the fuel pressure reg on common rails and on map sensor on pd's?

anyone have any prices on cams and things for d's also how can i get good fuel economy. obv turbo gives a better volumetric efficiency due to forced inductionsaslong as u dont blow it everywhere.
