khokhar111
Hi everyone, this is my first post on this brill site! Hope someone can advise me. I have just purchase another (me and my Mrs have matching) 1.5 vtech. When i bought the car the engine management light was on, so no vtech or enconomy light. I have just done the ecu flash code using a paper clip(read up about this on here!!) fault 0041 Heated oxygen sensor heater is the culprit, does this mean a new o2 sensor on the manifold?? The word heated is throwing me as there is another code relating specifcally to the oxygen sensor is the heater located somewhere else?? Please help 1"£££$££"!! jalesi2001
Nah, its a heated oxy sensor fitted to your car mate, and it will need a new one. Very common on our cars im afraid. There are two fault codes iirc, one for the heated part of the sensor, and one for the sensor itself. Whichever one you have, it will need a new sensor bud. khokhar111
Just checked - mine is a 5 wire (heated like you say) the vtech-2 is a 4 wire. Phoned around for a price and been told mine should be 3 wire unheated twice?! is mine rare? Just looked at the price on Bosch website and its £115 vs £60 for the unheated one. Anyone know a cheap supplier??
