Shaddow
Hi,Does anyone know if there are any LCA for the MB6? I have been told by Blames-VTI that the D2 ones wont fit unless I change my suspension to ITR ones. I only want to change my LCA at this point in time so need a LCA that will fit on the MB6 with standard suspension setup. Thanks

tontvti
ITR ones fit if you use ITR suspension.EG ones fit in place BUT the bushing is too wide for stock MB6 rear suspension fork, you'd need to swap the busking to an EK/MB6 one or ghetto style file it down but that could compromise the bushings integrity.MB6 rear suspension forks are the same as EK ones, if you read the forums you'll see this is how the EK owners use EG LCA's if they find a cheap set
Shaddow
Thanks for the info, So if I was to get the D2 LCA, I would also need to source some new bushes that would go on the LCA to accomodate the narrower suspension fork? Are these easily found/ can the bushes easily be swapped?I have been looking around at many forums, but as the MB6 seems to be quite unique, it is difficult to know what info will work using diff models.Would the EK LCA fit as a direct replacement as the bushes are similar size? Also, what is meant by loop type rear dampers? As some D2 LCA say they will not fit if use loop type rear dampers???
Shaddow
I have just been on Honda Parts list website. (Lings) to do some part no. comparison. Can someone confirm that the MB6 has the same LCA as the EK? According the Lings, a 99Reg 5door VTI has the same LCA part no. as my MB6. I could track down my car easily enough using the numberplate system, but I could not get it to work for any EK9's found as the numberplates were not recognised.Slowely but surely getting there. Just a few more things to confirm before I can get my shiny D2 rear LCA's. Thanks to everyone here at Civic5 for there help.
Shaddow
Update:Just spoke to Honda and they confirmed that the LCA on the MB6 is only used on the MB6 and Aerodeck. However having spoken to the guys at Funky Power, they seem to think that the LCA for the ITR and EG Civics will fit. I assume from what has been said previously, the ITR LCA dont fit for the same reason the EG wont fit? Or is there a diff reason for ITR ones not fitting? tontvti
According the Lings, a 99Reg 5door VTI has the same LCA part no. as my MB6. Lol, the MB6 is the 5 door VTI, haha.Right, MB6 and EKs use 40mm rear suspension forks.BUT EK LCA's are too long for our MB6._________EG's use a 50mm rear suspension fork. The EG LCA fit in place on the MB6 but the bushing is 5mm to wide on each side, swap the bushing to an EK one (or grind it down at your own risk)________The ITR use an eye type fitting at the end of there rear suspension fork. That LCA fits in place on the MB6 but you would need to use the ITR suspension. _______Meister R explains it halfway down this linkhttp://www.ek9.org/forum/suspension/192 ... print.html
