jamezzz
Have any of you fitted 100w bulbs in the headlights of your M series? If so, any issues with the wires or plastic connectors melting? Also, I want to fit those fancy diadem indicator bulbs, so I take it to remove the the orange cap that makes the indicator bulb inside the headlight flash orange would involve a rather worrying splitting of the headlight unit? Thanks!
ryan..
yeap, heat the glue up around the edge with a hair dryer and prize it apart. The unscrew the indicator lense housing (its seperate but screwed to the main headlight housing) and unclip the orange part and put it back together. You will need to re-heat the glue then put it back together. Its not that hard and the glue is a re-seal able glue so sticky when warmed up but solid when dry. As for the bulbs, I fitted some ring 130watt bulbs once and one blew as soon as it was turned on. I'd keep to bulbs like philips and osrams etc These aren't 100watt but still give fantastic amounts of light

jamezzz
Thanks Ryan! I'll give the headlamp split a go now. Seems very do-able for me! Cheers!
ryan..
the worst bit is getting the headlight out as you need to remove the bumper and brace bar behind it. Once you've done it once its a 10 minute job tho
