johngreen537 Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 Yup. If the pipe is too big, and has no restriction what-so-ever, no backpressure isn't good for a N/A engine! Good for turbo's, yes, N/A not so good!The exhaust valves won't seat as well, the engine will sound rattley, the pistons will sound like they are slapping about and all sorts.Been there, done that, didn't end well. Won't be too bad if you leave your CAT in place, but no cat, unsilenced B pipe, won't be good for power! If you are doing the unsilenced bit mate, leave the cat in place, or get a sports cat, don't do both without internal engine work to up the compression.
