clansco
ive been looking but cant find a how to that would help me remove the centre console and the radio surround. its a little damaged from previous owner bodging a stereo and i need to put a new one in.thanks
Roylewaa
Fairly easy to do mate, theres screws at either side of the centre console, then 1 behind the hazard switch, and another behind the rear window demister, and another at the bottom of the radio hole. You will have to remove the centre console aswell to get the front console out, theres 2 screws under the handbrake lever under a small cover (or 10 mm bolts if your lucky (these can be tight and be a pain to remove if they've been in there a while) then theres 2 screws at the rear near the backs of the seats, unplug the window switches (if you have em) and it should lift up and outThe radio console surround should then lift from the bottom up and out, Don't forget to unplug the clock, and it's a good opportunity to change the bulb in the clock if its blownI'm sure ive seen a how to somewhere, but for now hope this helps

Roylewaa
No worries mate, Don't forget you need to remove the gearstick gator/surround, its just clipped in so a little persuasion it will pop out, you will need to remove the gearknob, a sturdy anti clockwise turn should loosten it and it will unscrew off
clansco
ive came across an mgzs centre console. at first glance it looks almost exactly the same shape as the civics and the dials, clock, stereo and buttons are in the exact position. has anybody had success fitting this? it looks far better imo.thanks
NIKH25
I know lots of people have fitted parts of the mg console, ashtray, heater dial trim etc. pretty sure the console is the exact same one and should fit straight in
