thepeopleschamp
i'm having a problem where my fuel gauge is not moving from the full position and the reverse lights do not turn on when in reverse gear. Usually the fuel gauge goes to empty when the ignition is turned off but it stays full now. (I did fill up a few days ago but by now it should have moved a bit) i've looked at the fuse in the fuse box and also swapped it out but it doesn't seem to make a difference. the fuse is no 15 below the dashboard according to the manual and its funny that both of these seem to have stopped working at the same time.any ideas anyone? ryan..
the fuel gauge should not move when you turn the ignition off so something has fixed its self
thepeopleschamp
I'll monitor the fuel gauge. having played around with the fuses the abs and handbrake is now constantly on when the car is started. according to the manual this should be no 19 but it seems like it is no 15 as when i take no 15 out no lights show up in the dashboard but as soon as i put a fuse in no 15 the dashboard lights up but the abs and handbrake light stay lit. this is getting me more and more confused. thepeopleschamp
Okay so an update the fuel gauge is fine, it moved slightly today. I think you're right that it should stay at the level it is and not go down to empty when ignition is turned off. however i'm still having an issue with the abs light, handbrake light staying lit in the dashboard and my reverse lights not working. thepeopleschamp
okay ive had a look at the fuses again and managed to get the abs and parking light issue resolved. i had to insert the 10a fuse in number 16 in the fusebox under the dash. im still having the issue with the rear lights not coming on when in reverse gear. i dont think it is a fuse issue as the clock, abs and handbrake lights which run on same fuse are fine. thepeopleschamp
After some testing it seems like there is a break in the wire going back to the reverse lights. I wont bother as its too much of a job locating where the break is and will just drive with no reverse lights.
