Exhaust Rasp after de-cat...UPDATE!

Sunday there I had car on ramps and fitted rear silencer (£40 ebay jobby). Disaster!

Rasps louder that anything, so lesson learned.

Booked in on Monday to custom exhaust place to get work done.....

.......Going to get small silencer put in place of de-cat, keep middle silencer and have straight pipe coming out back (doing away with rear silencer as was basically a straight through powerflow one anyway).

In my experience that will not rasp as exhaust gases are free flowing out the car without any restriction to allow rasp at the back. WACK11111

Will keep you posted..if you want as this isnt exactly important to people! :D

I had a supersprint centre section which replaced the cat and attached to that a Sebring (I think) rear box and it sounded awful!

Brrrrooooom buzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It was removed very quickly and now just runs the rear box and the rest standard.

I’m pretty sure it didn’t make that much of a difference in performance.
