civicturbo79
I would say most people would be looking to remove the auto box and replace it with a manual box i know this does not help you but its more than likely the reason you have had no replys .Rich. jocky2k
Don't suppose you'd no anywhere that has info on auto boxes?
FREAKBOY
hi Jocky, i've only come across the S1LA on D's, mine is still going strong with the turbo. I'd also like to know about the others that you mentioned too, especially if they can take more torque. Of the 1800 members this site has i'm sure there are more than a few people who would also benefit from the info, even at 3% that's still 48 members who either opt for or are forced to drive auto. philgor
IIRC, from the hayne's manual. the difference's between the box's are only electrical, to do with the operting the box, all of them are essentally the same 4sd with a lockup torque converter, but i think the 1.5 vtec-e has slighly longer ratio's.i think i had the s1la in my mb1 (1996 1.6, d16y3 nonvtec) and that took some abuse it snapped a drive shaft, some WOT launch's, it would see the red line just about every day, and it never missed a beat, never needed fluid top up or change, and the oil was still red and unburnt from the day i got it to the day it went.
