GreenVTi991
I’ve just had some new tyres fitted to my original MB6 alloys (currently have ‘teg wheels on). I put one on the osf, turned it to do up the nuts and it hit something. I found it to be the new balance weight stuck to the inner rim fouling on the brake calliper. Has anyone else experienced this? Are the original alloys that close a fit to the calliper?
S4DAM
I have in fact experienced something very similar on the fat five vti alloys for the mb6/mc2.Balancing weights sitting on the inside of the rim would very lightly skim the caliper, but that was only when one weight was stuck on top of the other. There's not a lot of room with 15" wheels over the front calipers on these cars, just enough to get a strip of weights. I've been thinking of using 15" Honda Accord alloys on this car but my main concern is always whether they would fit over the callipers. I've been too lazy to try and find out. philgor
clearance is very tight, on both '96 teg wheel's and on the standerd vti 5 spoke's, but never had an issue with them..
