rust :(

The best thing i can say and where id start is to get a flap wheel on the grinder and take it down to see what your working with. You could catch it just in time.

.Once you have ground it down with the flap wheel (providing it isnt it holes) keep going with the flap wheel until most of the pitted parts are removed as far as you dare go without going through the metal.

.Now youv'e done that any remaining pitting use something like kurust and brush it in. When that has turne purple/blue wipe of the smooth metal but leave in the pitting.

.Do any filler work needed to bring back to shape (remember to use a block when saning). When the filler work is done and your happy with it scotch up the surrounding area to be painted.

.Panel wipe

.You will be able to spray this using a colour match rattle can. you will prob have to get this mixed up from a auto paint place but are only about £12. Spray it feathering it in up the wing with dry coats. Once this is dry do the same with the laquer but go further up the panel.

This is just a rough guide to how i would do it, And providing it hasn't gone through you may find the bumper mount might fall apart when your playing with it.

You will NEVER get rid of rust but using this method it should hold it back for a year or two.

Hope it helps.
