Bump.

Anyone know how much a standard clutch from Honda costs for the MB6 or what the brand is if its not purely made for Honda?

I'm thinking if a stock clutch lasts 100000 miles they can't be bad value :?:

the OEM clutch cost was actually in the first post...I know it was a long one to read ;o]]

looking at the 2007 EPC the prices for mb6 clutch parts are (excluding VAT)

pressure plate 117 euro

friction plate 113 euro

clutch release bearing 42 euro

flywheel (including pilot bearing) 388 euro

so that 270euro + VAT for the OEM MB6 clutch. That flywheel is way overpriced imho. You can get a high quality one for considerably less (ACT streetlite is 200usd)

the ITR OEM clutch parts are (excluding VAT)

pressure plate 117 euro

friction plate 125 euro

flywheel (including pilot bearing) 403 euro

dunno what brand Honda uses, but mine on my first mb6 lasted 152k miles until my car was crashed (still working well at that time)....so it seems wise to go for OEM mb6 clutch parts or OEM ITR clutch parts. Especially if you don't want new flywheel the price difference is not that big if shipping is taken into consideration. The ebay stuff like exedy makes more sense if you also want lighter flywheel cause the OEM flywheels are super expensive and also because of the great deals on clutch+flywheel when buying them together. Guess the ITR pressure plate will be even stiffer than the mb6 one to cope with ITR power advantage and lighter flywheel, but should be still easily driveable. I still haven't decided how to sort out the clutch when the time comes, but since my mb6 is my daily driver I will probably be going the OEM long-term reliable way since I don't plan any engine work, just bolt-ons like IHE (which I already have except headers).

Whats the milage on your car??

My total bill at the garage would of ending up being £1300 because of other stuff so I spewed the clutch off, a £700 bill was bad enough. Yeah sometimes it wont go into gear but F**K it, lol.

I've since been quoted 120-150 by Honda perfomance specialists to fit a clutch so add that to like £170 for an Exedy OEM + F1 flywheel it doesnt end up being to bad......
