s80 gearbox fitment to mb6?

well,,, the s80 box is gonna cost me around £700 to fix. £270+vat for synchro set, around a £100+vat for the bearings and seals for shafts. and a idle gear which is around £70+vat and the rest labour. it has 4.7final drive(counted 67 teeth around the diff). mean time as i have sold my s9b gearbox i have fitted a y21 gearbox and boy what a difference that makes.accelerates miles better than the s9b. cant wait for the teg box to get fitted. the trouble now is i have to wait 1 month for honda to get the idle gear from japan as they are currently out of stock.

my idle reverse gear is back in stock at honda belgium. it comes to my mechanics place on friday and the box should be built and in my car in a few weeks. £$!!£$£!! £$!!£$£!! £$!!£$£!! £$!!£$£!!

its a straight swop its best to get a 98 spec s80 box as the finel drive is 4.7 96 is 4.4 finel drive but u be looking to pay £100-£200 mre for a 98 and its best to do the lot ie integra flywheel pick them up for £40-£80 second hand and a clutch kit as im looking for 1 for mine.

ive spent a grand re-conditionong mine up to now. check my posts. i got it free but didnt realise it would cost this much :shock: i should have it by next week..hopefully ;)
