  1. A polish is always a good idea! And clever solution fitting the speakers. I bet those sound great, the oem paper thins aren't useful for pretty much anything.
  2. Black is always minus, and red is always plus. Often you get other colours too like white, brown, blue or yellow but almost always one of the wires will be red or black. And when you know what polarity that is, it's pretty easy to figure out the other one, no matter what colour.
  3. Good job, fixing stuff that's been broken for a while is almost as (and sometimes even more) rewarding than installing new mods! Oh yeah and nice lca's too, gonna match so well with the black exterior.
  4. How's the weather over there? This is Helsinki a few nights back! Glad i didn't quite yet slap on my summer tires !!! The same night hit some magic numbers on the odo! With this pace gona hit threes within... 10 years perhaps!
  5. Whooooaa! Can't wait to see them wheels fitted, look awesome from the little you're showing!
  6. Was a good time to remove the resonator box also... Replaced the headlight bulbs on the same go and found a box of these in my archives: A bit brighter & whiter than the standard ones! I've got a big box coming soon from Elite Car Care so getting ready for a sexy spring car wash!!!
  7. Yes makes sense, but if it's like that then wouldn't 40 be even better? I don't have any scientific theory behind this but the reason i chose 195/50 was after studying my collection of Honda Tuning magazines and reading the specs on the serious tracks builds most people had chosen 195/50... but on the other hand i am tempted to give the 45's a shot, since i do get quite a lot of flex during hard cornering. Hmm...
  8. After a 5 year hibernation in a cold, dark cardboard box, the fogs are back, better & shinier than ever! One of the first things i did to my car after buying it was to remove the fog lights since they were worn, scored, chipped & cracked and one bulb was broken and beyond replacement at that time, since even drilling the screws wouldn't open it. But now during the past winter due to access to better tools & working environment i've managed, little by little, to repair and refurb them to a presentable enough state. Not that many pics of the process but they turned out pretty good, and i'm quite stoked of the end result! It was soooo missing something... until now!
  9. How is it better for track? I've got 195/50's for track but need new tyres soon so maybe i'll go for a smaller profile...
  10. Hope so. My deck came with Koni Sports and it was a pretty good kit. How does your inspection work, do they check every single time that your suspension has tüv or is it just the first time and then they write it down and don't have to worry about it in the future anymore? And i think the Koni Sport kit is also TÜV-ceritfied for the mc2, so you might want to go that route if you don't need the height adjustability of coils?
  11. 15's for the winter for chunkier tyres. 15's also for track, seems to be the most popular choice for 90's hondas. For street i had 16's but replaced them with 17's and i think it looks awesome. Ride isn't as good but probably stretched tyres have something to do with it as well . But the 17's fit the arches really well, don't look too big on the deck and look great when the car is lowered. And are the rarer choice. I'm probably gonna go back to 16's at some point, but only to slam the deck even lower! With 17's you can't really slam it.
  12. Btw i wouldn't use copper grease on the coil threads! I did some years ago, and ended up with a utterly, totally seized adjustment ring. Had to take it to the shop to get it opened. Then i changed to white lithium grease and never had any problems whatsoever afterwards!
  13. Mmm new driveshafts... the joy of having a slammed car! I'm just waiting for mine to go... How was the swap, easy or a pain?
  14. Nice one, i almost bought the same ones but in the end opted for Ferodos instead.
  15. About my new BC coils and the low rear because of EG fitting: Boot + backseat filled up almost all the way to the headliner with band equipment + 1 passenger, absolutely no scrape. So no more worries, it's still a cargo hauler & lowrider/trackattacker!
  16. Hi @hondasport, sorry for the late reply. I can't really recommend the h&r's. They cost me a 1000€ and 2 shock absorbers broke after just 2 years / 20,000km. I got new ones through their warranty program but was quite a hassle. And again last december, one of the shocks i replaced broke again. That's when i replaced the whole set with BC racings which are a million times better. The ride with the h&r's is pretty good, a bit too soft for track though. The height adjustment works well, as long as you remember to keep the rings greased to make sure they won't get stuck. But you adjust the height by compressing/decompressing the spring, compared to adjusting the height of the shock like with BC & MeisterR for example which is a lot better. And there's not damping adjustment on the h&r's either. I reckon you need TÜV-certification, that's why you're considering h&r?
