If i had a pound for every factory manual soarer ive seen i would be owing myself money! lol
-
Ah man thats a nice soarer, i nearly bought a soarer but at the time i couldnt find one for decent money, some ppl seem to think a decent stock 1 still holds for like 4-5 grand which is silly.
-
ok might try a 1/4" bottle as its not that bad and see what happens!
-
is that safe to do that ? I got chased by a rude boy in a newish corsa tonight, was up a hill too and the old girl was leaving him behind im well proud, hopefully when i find the time ill get my exhaust done and i fitted my new red interior bulb, looks gd but my phone cam doesnt pick the light up so will do a proper pic soon!
-
ok thanks Krzys, i think it levels in the middle but i think i just needs turning down a tad plus i can get an idea how dirty and black my carb is lol
-
ordered a stupid 30mm interior light bulb replacement, has yes 12 leds in red haha should be fun! Keep noticing its running rice, Krzys where is the mixture screw on yours ?
-
and pasty crumbs too lol
-
haha could be worth it! might need to save for that, will be cheaper if i build them lol I won a retro house cleared 12v hoover on ebay, shold do nicely in the accord, im quite messy in my cars, always bringing in stones.
-
Haha i didnt look at postage cost but in the back of mind i didnt want to know! So like 650 with postage i guess isnt to bad ? I knew mate who had them on his scooby and were awful, hard as nail and they made clunks. Ill keep searching but need to find a decent house to buy first lol
-
Well i have ordered one off the US ebay now lol had a look at rover clocks, couldnt see one the same as mine anyway While i was on there i found these, i know they are Ksport which arent great from what i heard but an option and they were the cheapest! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300911203516?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648

Took the clock out and apart, the top of the display has a black burnt dot in the top corner so i think its at its end now of 23 years, not bad huh !? Finding one is proving very differcult so far, found a couple on the US ebay, waiting on weather they will ship to here.
-
i got the car back finally, much better tho the pedal has no spring to it, bites after an inch of release but its new and should bed in soon. Need to sort the clock out, keeps resetting itself i think the connections are corrorded hmm
-
Wow that mini is cool and i bet its very quick too but not cheap! The smart isnt to bad, its got coilover stiff suspension and the autobox isnt great but its great on fuel tho
-
Well the clutch was meant to arrive this morning but i got a phone call from mrclutch saying it be in till monday jusssst great no car. Guess my missus and her fortwo will have to cart me around lol
-
Yeah alot is original i think but as he kept it in a garage everything is rust free pretty much. I think H22 out of a prelude, rebuild it maybe with forged internals and it will be a right sleepy. Will keep those ep3 type R's on their toes lol
-
i think if nothing else goes bad im gonna do a engine conversion when i get my garage
-
You know i bet it is the original as well which is pretty good really and yeah i know she is getting old just wish i could get my garage sorted out before she starts breaking apart lol
-
just when i thought it couldnt get any worse the clutch slipped this morning and again after work. Needs a new clutch now, getting annoyed now with this accord.
-
Started the car on sat and seemed fine till i drove about 2 miles and it started going up again so i pulled over and the rad was still cold so it was the thermostat! After phoning around and finding a part place that had 1. Limped it to a tesco petrol garage and decided to get a taxi to get the part and picked up oil too. Too add more pain to my morning it started raining grr was getting annoyed now. Let the guys in the garage know i was broken down and just going to sort it out. As i had tools in car i changed it there and then under the garage and hey presto she was saved lol Did a coolant and oil change later on but as i was underneth doing the oil plug up i noticed a CV boot ripped
-
Wow went into tesco after work, was waiting for a car to come out a space and i look down to see the temp mater in the red, as i park its started boiling and theres coolant everywhere! so left it for 15 mins till it cool and made my way home, all the way there it was on the red, so i had the heating on and i popped the bonnet! I know slighty dodgy but it needed air! As i was pulling into my drive SMOKE started coming out so i turned her off quick! That was oil smoke that was coming out! i think the fan doesnt work, i dont remember hearing it come on...
-
Changed the distributor cap and no better, i can see the level on the side of the carb and its half way. Only thing i can think is the carb is dirty. Any thoughts ?
-
discovered the window goes down much easier when the door is open so maybe the latch is pushing on window guide somehow, will take the door card off and inspect crowbar at the ready lol
-
thanks for the tips, always helps when u give something a gd greasin
-
update: changed the upper front wishbones and its much better, new problems have started tho, my drivers window motor has started getting slow and for some reason the latch that holds the door open now clunks loudly when the door is shut, have greased it and its not so loud hmm. As for wheels and coilovers, the wedding is taking its toll on money and we're looking for a house as well soo they will have to stay on the back burner proby till next year ordering oil and oil filter this weekend
