  1. It is pretty impressive, his work is most certainly paramount to art!

Ha points, i wish! Never flown so much as i have in the last 6 months, may get my self an air mile card!

So plan is still after japday @ Combe in may (15th) i think, it'll be coming off the road. I have nearly everything now .. IC & pipework and the exhaust i need to make, BOV, Boost controller (manual) and mapping, thats it!

All done with no CC spend aswell!

Hoping for it to be back out for the end of summer - September hopefully. But that also depends on availability of the mapper.

  2. Garrets are about 1100 new from honeywell n sorry my mistake i was referring to zorst wen i said about brand names

You cant buy direct from Honeywell. You have to use an authorised distributor. (well you dont have to, but you know what i mean) which i did.. Which was less than 700..

So unless your looking for a snail the size of your head, it wont be 1100

  3. Turbos do mate .. No debating, no arguing, if not a branded, your running the risk of it shitting itself.

You said about 300 on a turbo, then the same amount getting it rebuilt, which is where i took the 600 from ..

  4. £600 for a second hand turbo there Jay - i only paid £680 for mine brand spanking new.. Mapping is £450 if done by anyone worth while. Thats a grand already ..

You can soon quickly see why my build is heading to 3k!

Customer exhaust will then be 5-600 ..

    All adds up ..

  5. Yeah coz that would be hilarious, reason I'm asking is I can't afford to fork out 3k + for a turbo so was seeing what people's experiences with eBay kits are, I probably won't go down that route anyway. There's someone on Gumtree selling a wide arch deck with a turbo kit says he has everything for plug and play for b18c4 £800 but don't know what kit it is

If you cant afford to do it properly, dont do it at all.

It'll just end up going pop and costing you more money to repair..
