So if I change standard manifold to any other performance one it will definitely need re-mapping? That's not good. I was looking for a good upgrade to add to performance.

Cool. Has anyone tried eibach springs on koni STR.T shocks? I wonder how much they lower it by? Even though koni dont sell mb6 specific full kit you can still get the shocks...

nice one I noticed on that ebay page there is one 2.5 V6 ones and there is this MGZS 1.8 120 any difference?

I haven't actually seen MGZS stuff being sold anywhere. I can't use the springs I got right now because the whole kit is a mess haha I really need new springs as well as shocks. Has anyone tried any good coilover kits for mb6 for under £500? Thinking might save up for that.

Yup that's what I mean. I have already checked koni website and I also had someone from parts company ring them up to ask and they said they don't supply the springs for 1.8. I was thinking about Eibach springs but they only sell springs upto 30mm for mb6 :S

I just found out that both Koni Sport and STR.T dont fit 1.8 mb6 . On there website and at other places they tell you that the kit is for cars excluding 1.8. Its the same problem I mentioned above something to do with springs at front. They sell shocks as separate for 1.8 but no springs. Anyone got any other suggestions for suspension kits or coilovers?

anyone had problem with wheel/tyres having koni sport adjustable on? I got 205/40/17 and came across someone having problems with tyre rubbing in wheel arch etc with 215/40/17 tyres.

I just found out that Koni STR.T does not work correctly on the 1.8 VTi model, as far as I understand the vehicle lowers too much on the front and is dramatically softer than the standard suspension set up so has an adverse effect on the vehicles handling. Anyone else know anything about this?

I am actually struggling to find 40mm springs most of them are 30mm on several sites. I wonder if koni did 40mm springs.

Thanks Just had a look at Koni STR.T. Managed to find the whole kit for round abt £300 which is not bad. It lowers both front and back by 35mm. Right now I have 40mm good springs on standard shocks and I've had them like that for over a year and the ride is horrible especially when you have to go over rough roads. Will this improve the ride by a lot?

Hi I am looking for good coilovers or aftermarket springs shocks combo that will fit mb6 vti-s with least modification required. I have no preference to coilovers just want something which will give good n comfortable ride on some bumpy roads with abt 40 lowered front n back. I know coilovers can be really expensive and thats why I want to ask if anyone knows any good aftermarket spring shocks which are cheaper than coilovers. Thanks
