  1. Small update! got the lip of the rear arch in primer today. it wasn't really rotten so all i did was grind down the surface rust and treat with rust converter, I think that should hold it back for a couple of years or so as it was only slightley pitted. Also seam sealed where the inner and outer arch meet so no more water can get between. Im hoping to have this side finished and in 2k primer in the next week or so.

I have now officially joined the carbon wrap gang  i wrapped the surround in my mb6 cluster and im chuffed, I also fitted an alarm led in the bottom corner for when i come to fit an aftermarket one. I think it looks much better than a hole in the dash.

  2. Thanks. It's a bit strange acquiring parts before I've even got the car, but it will make the buisness of modifying alot quicker.

 i have done this before, Makes it more exciting looking for the car when you can see a mountain of parts you have already bought.

  3. I'd agree with the above them plates at the back of the disk are a nuisance. I had what sounds like a similar problem and it was them, just cut them off.

  4. Not sure if there is one already on here. But here it is

After hours of looking for new wheels i found this. I think you may find it useful too.

  6. You shouldn't need studs, unless you snap them of course. :?

Just undo the o2 sensor, 17mm iirc. Use plenty of wd40 and all should be fine. :)

thanks for replying nick, ill start soaking the 02 sensor in wd40 then by the time my gaskets come it should be ok :)

think i might order some studs just for peace of mind just in case!

As said above iv'e not had a stud snap on me. the worst iv'e had happen is the whole stud coming out with the nut still on. But yeh ,soak them and the lambda sensor and pull on it quick/snap with the spanner once seated correctly. pulling slowley when not seated properly it will soon round. so id advise wire brushing too.

  7. Not much of an update due to the weather being turd but i went to u-pull-it in york the other day for some parts for my dads new v40 and had a look over at the honda section and got these out of an mb6 due to my fuel light not working. Ill be soon to join the carbon film gang  as im gonna take them apart and do the part around the dials.

By any chance does any one know of a way id be able to set the milage to my car? there 20k more. It's not a biggie but it would be nice.

  8. On the later rovers/mg they are like a bubble shape, I am not sure if them ones fit but shouldnt imagine much work would be involved to make them fit.

The earlier 400's have near enough identical looking side repeaters to the M but smoked/clear. All that is required to make these fit is a small pip has to be filed off on the back.

  9. Hey guys, I have just got a carbon fibre kit as i have been wanting to try out making my own carbon parts. I hav been practicing with fibre glass/ making my molds for a while now and i think im ready to give it a go. My question is what things do you guys think i should try? i think ill try somesort of subtle gurney flap to fit on the standard spoiler, the black piller covers on the doors,J's racing style cold air duct like on tegs/eg's... But what else??

Obviously i will have to make the molds so it may be a while before they start appearing on my car.
