  1. Yeah we thought it must have been the tyres. 3 st's spun them. You couldn't see it with the others but you could hear the revs and see it on the graphs. None as dramatic as mine though. It really didn't like torque. And it was some cheap cowboy place in Wrexham.  I'll get the name.of it later.

Wasn't all bad though because even though I couldn't get the read out I wanted and was 20-30 maybe more horses down I still won a keyring and a sticker for most powerful ford there haha.

  2. Had a rolling road day on Saturday and for me didn't go well at all. First off my car was too low, splitter was under a mm from catching the rollers (the rollers where quite deep) so the idiots at the garage put my front tyre pressure up to 55psi to raise the front. Then came the fun part. Where as everyone had 2 sessions. I had 3. Because they couldn't get no traction on there whatsoever. Had a disappointing reading of 328bhp and 356lbft and that was with her spinning. I actually spin the rollers. Then the garage was just going to leave me to go home with 55psi in the tyres. I wouldn't go unless they took the pressure down. There where 3 sts in total and eveRyan one of them spun at least once. But as they where under 300bhp and had good tyre pressure they got OK readings. Where as me I am still left in the lurk. They said they can tell there is way more power there but they just can't get it down. I will be going somewhere else soon. Been told since this garage are right cowboys. Anyway have a video of me spinning the rollers. Still picking rubber off my roof now lol.

  3. Headlights came. Tried to fit them and motor was hitting the slam pannel. So I cut a bit of the slam pannel so the motor would clear which it did. But then the base of the headlight unit was knocking the slam pannel also. So they are going back. Not happy I've hacked at the slam pannel for nothing but at least it can't be seen. But watch this space. There's a little something going to happen with headlights now :) which should be very interesting. They have been done before but very rare to see ;)

  4. So last week I ordered some new side light bulbs as mine died. When I received them they where really long. And with the st side lights being so fidgety to fit they wouldn't go in because of the length of the bulbs. So I got some custom made shorter ones as a replacement. Fitted them today. They fit fine but still so fidgety. I lost my rag doing it. Was swearing at the lights and the missus said what's up? I said I'm buying some new headlights because the design on these are s*#t. And she said ok. Sooooo, I jumped on the opportunity before she changed her mind and ordered some after market lights haha. Not saying which ones and no pics until I've fitted them ;)

  5. Ok I spoke to Pete about the meth and he had loads of good things to say about it and it would be totallyf one on mine :) I'm not in a rush to get one though but something to consider in the future.

I've been out with the kids and got a video. Unfortunately the missus is a bit ill so she wasn't up for it lol. But yeah the video is good. It's 8mins long though but the kids reactions are great. My lad had a shock but then loved it. My daughter absolutely hated it but I'm sure towards the end she was just playing up for the camera haha. I'm just uploading onto the pc etc then I will get links up

  6. Also I have a question as I've been approached twise now about this. But I've been offered a devils own water methanol kit. Now I know it is good stuff, drops piston and ring temps by 300°, reduces carbon build up, more power etc etc.

Now my question is what will this do for me? Will I be risking it as I'm going to be 360-370bhp on st pistons so really pushing them to there limits. However I was told the drop in temps I will be safe. So what do people think? Worth the risk or not? Obviously I just don't want the engine going bang...... Again. But it's a bit closer to that 400bhp mark....

  7. That bay looks awesome, big filter looks much better mate. Bet it sounds mad now too! Quite fancied a quick shift for the mb6 when I had it but never got round to buying one. The shift in the TypeR is already short so not sure what it would be like with one. One sorted focus St!

Cheers buddy. Yeah the quick shift has improved things a lot. Do notice the difference in change time. They are however adjustable so with the civic just put ito it's minimum and you will still shorten the throw a little bit. Any little bit is an improveme lol even with a civic lol. Should be getting some more engine bay bling soon too :)

  8. Quick shift fitted

Torque mount fitted. Took no pics as no paint it's just black lol. However I took a pic of the standard one. Can't believeh ow flexiblet he standard one is. The Bush is hardly mounted to it. No wonder it knocks all the time. And that's with it in good condition too.

Also got a pic of the filter fitted now.

Erm yeah it's big :) and sounds awsome.

As for the quick shift and torque mount its like a new car. Yeah the torque mount causes a tickily vibration threw your bottom when idling and when first setting off it knocks. It kinda feels like what it's like just before you stall and get that clutch judder. This mixxed with the quick shift (on shortest setting) and it just feels like I'm about to stall or not putting it in gear lol. But the car feels solid. It's like it's better built and not gonna fall in bits. Havnt been on some good roads to try it yet just around town but can already notice the positive side of having them :)

  9. I like the effect of the translucent bonnet!

That's the one getting the most comments and likes on Facebook. Looks good doesn't it. I've done it before on Facebook but because the pics I've merged together have been at different angles it's always looked odd. With this he mounted the camera on a tripod took a pic with bonnet open and one with it closed so the angle never changed. Works great doesn't it

  10. Couple more bits ordered...

    Quick shift.

Torque mount (with black Bush/completely solid)

And autospecialist group a cone air filter.

Just hit over 800 miles now but I've got her booked in for her tuning on the 24th Feb. So then finally I get to see what she's made of :)

Also been sent a blue silicone elbow (but sender unsure if it will fit) looks like it will but it's a bit shorter by looks of it so should be ideal for the big air filter I've ordered :)

  11. Decided to give the fiesta bonnet catch idea a miss. Been told it can look really bodged and if possible try and avoid it. I did provide Pete with the upgraded plastic cross piece for my bonnet lock but it's still playing up. It opens 80% of the time but still fails so we think the locking mechanism itself is shot. So decided to go aero catch. I want them to be quite discreet so got some in white. And as I'll be removing the standard lock I got some locking ones. Next step is to decide where to put them. Originally not the look I'm going for but should aid to an aggressive front end when I've got the wire grills done and smoked headlights.

Still running my engine in. Only covered about 330 miles so a long way to go yet before I can open her up and update on how the hybrid feels.

  12. It won't stay like that for long haha!

1000 miles under 2.5k by any chance?

    Yup exactly that.

Done about 120miles now and it's still hovering around 35-37mpg lol. It won't be seeing that after this 1000 miles though lol.

So the engine bay is looking a bit poor at the min. Need an rs vac pipe and a blue induction hose. It's only green as I forgot to buy one but Pete had this lying about in the garage.

Main thing is the car is back. Sure I will hit that 1k in no time then I can really see what she's made of
