Cheers guys! Another question, probably quite a silly one but one I need to ask. If I have these at the max height, will it be the same as standard? Going to have 2 kids in the back, 2 adults in the front, a double pram and shopping in the boot at some points so dont want it to be scrapping when it's like that!

Right, basically here's the question I need answered because I'm pretty useless with this kind of stuff. I like to jump in and get my hands dirty, and basically learn a I go. I don't know much about cars ect, but I love them. I'm going to be getting a few quid pretty soon, and I'm going to buy a cheapish set of coilovers. I'm not going expensive because they won't really be wound down that much due to the kids, so only really when I'm in the car myself! But my question is, can anyone recommend a decent set of cheap coillies, and also, do I need anything else or is it a straight swap for my shocks? And how easy are they to fit for a novice who wants to get his hands dirty and learn?

Cars looking awesome mate! See when you where taking the dash trim out? How did you get the heater at the passenger side out? Mine doesn't seem to budge! -
Done a quick chop of the car on photoshop, just lowered with some rims I found on the net, had to take a photo of it with my phone though because I have no Internet in the house at the moment and it wasn't letting me send the picture to my phone for some reason so it's a bit crap quality, but let me know what you guys think...

Haven't posted on this in a while, mainly because I haven't done anything else with just having a little baby boy! So all cash is going towards him. Heading down to Blackpool though for a break with the misses on the 10th of next month (payday) so when that's done, I'll be concentrating on the car! One little update I have though. I have a new paint design, courtesy of the wonderful people at North Lanarkshire Council! URL=http://s108.photobucket.com/user/W_Williamson/media/image.jpg.html] White building paint all over one side of the road, cars all round me so had no choice but to go through it. This was on my way to wash the car as well! Couldn't get it off. So it gives me the excuse to get the rattle cans and sand paper out and fix some of the paint work.

cheers mate, it looks kinda purple in this but it's actually the same colour as the car. It's all been done mate, you just can't see the little bit at the drivers side very well! sorry you misunderstood me do all the dash inserts Ahhhh sorry mate! I was thinking that but i think it looks pretty good the way it is just now. I'm thinking about putting in a double din so I'll need to modify the centre console. Might wrap the whole centre console if I do that!

Car went through its MOT today, passed with three advisories. Two of which I already knew about. One was the indicator bulbs where slightly faded. The two I knew about were the brake pipes are slightly corroded, and they couldn't check the seatbelt in the back because there was a child seat fitted. Very happy with it!

Yeah no worries mate! I was thinking about just getting coillies seeing as the shocks need done anyway, but I just read that my insurance doesnt allow me to modify the car! So currently on the look out for someone who can insure me, for around or less than 107 a month fully comp, on a 1.4. Me and the misses. Im only 19 and shes 21. Both had our licence 6 months and ive been driving as a named driver for all of that.

Thats the one mate. So, got myself down the TMS for an offside droplink. The old one has snapped right in the middle and the top end had basically fell off. So got it jacked up and replaced (which was an absolute pain in the c**k) only to find the other one had also snapped! So another trip down to TMS and I now have two new droplinks. I would put up pics but by the time I was finished it was getting dark and starting to rain! MOT on saturday so heres hoping!

Cheers mate! I hope your being sarcastic when you say its going very fast because its anything but! Haha yeah im hopefully wrapping the rest of the dash tomorrow! @gary - I would use the one in muirhead mate, its not a jap specialist but they do have civics and rovers in so you can usually always find something to fit the mb!

Right guys, I havent updated this in a while and a few things have happened. Firstly, I've still not wrapped the dash trim yet as things keep coming up. Its really beginning to annoy me though so it shall be done soon hopefully!. Secondly, took the car through to the misses' uncles who is a mechanic so I could give the car a good check with his jack ect. Found out that the offside droplink is missing, which would explain the knocking noise. The two back shocks will also need replaced, but thats not majorly needing done just now. So droplink will be purchased tomorrow or wednesday and fitted on wednesday. Got the mot on saturday so hopefully she'll pass! Will get a pick of the droplink up later on.
