  1. Yeah just had a little read up on it... Will be getting a bypass valve as soon as i get paid... Any advice? Go for AEM bypass valve or will a normal universal one suffice?

A road i go to work has a habit of getting a bit flooded on a certain bend and don't fancy having to be late for work to avoid a big puddle lool... Its usually quite shallow in middle of road but just as a precaution might be best to get one lol

Cheers for the help lads! :)

  2. Thanks!

Well they're second hand so they dont have as much push as they use to but aiming to get some better, slightly longer ones when im next at the scrappy!

Yeah they're avensis estate boot struts actually... But they were replaced cos they were weak anyway so like i say, they'll do for now lol

    Little photo i took earlier...

  3. Right... I've wanted to do this mod for a few weeks but have had to wait untill i was back at work!

From an idea behind a 'how to' on civiclife, i had a go at adding some bonnet struts to get rid of the rod you have to place in the bonnet every time you lift it! Making the brackets were a bit trial and error, and i need to do new brackets in the near future which are stronger but these will suffice for now!

    Well happy with them :D

  4. Yeah i know, im going through merstham, over m25 n through back lanes to get home, no waiting necessary lol!

Cheers Maz... Well I DID attempt that route, just spliced into the lamp with my wire going up a' pillar but at the same time i wanted to be able to turn them on/off manually regardless to the positions of the doors... So i removed my interior lamp connection and just have it on a switch now lol!!

A question i wanted to ask though... I purchased some white festoon bulbs for my interior lamps but once fitted i found out they were pole sensitive... So my interior light ONLY worked with EITHER the door sensors OR the interior switch... At first it only came on with doors, then i turned bulb around it only worked with the switch???

Is there a way to get around this or any bulbs which give off a bright white light but are not pole sensitive?

    Cheers

  5. Thanks!

Just need some decent civic mats to finish footwells off a treat!

Like i said tho, lighting werent easy... First i got some prism led lights from ebay but they didnt give off that much light... Dissappointed!... Then i got some blue tube neon bars from ebay, in the ebay image it showed them under the seat and whole footwell was really well lit (like mine are now)... But again they didnt give off as much light as i expected...Dissapointed!... so i decided to make my own!

The tube neons took ages to install, with an inline switch, so i wired up 4 bright blue T10 led bulbs to the same circuit so they all come on togeather but it was long winded!... I have a habit of overthinking and doing more than is necessary but never mind lool!!!

  6. Again thanks lads... All the positive comments ive recieved are much appreciated so cheers! :)

Yeah thats what I will do, get a second set and take my time with them!

In the meantime i got bored today and freshened up my existing lenses witch were horribly yellow and faded...

    3000 wet n dry (+water)

    Old bottle of T-Cut

    Few rags

With the wet n dry i soaked it in water and rubbed in circular motions over the effected area. 10 mins each lamp keeping wet n dry plenty wet!

    Rinsed off.

T-Cut whole lamp very well with rag, when you think thats enough, do some more.. Then when your arms falling off do it a bit more still!

New rag and buff off for a lovely finish!

Others wax and polish after too but I was happy enough as I'm changing lamps anyway!
