  1. Lol i was going to add 'not in a gay way' but he is one of the best actors of this generation i think next to Bryan Cranston (also in a non gay way lol)

With these sorts of films its best to come in with your brain switched off lol

  2. Now this thread is my little contribution to the forum (and admittively an attempt to post more replies to hit the magic 200 posts milestone lol) and many of you are thinking yeah lets post cars from Fast And Furious but NO NO NO!

Im talking about cars that only make one appearance in a film and usually not exotic (like toyota 2000gt in one of the bond films) or tv series that is easily overlooked. Its obvious that theres abudance of british/european cars in British tv series but what about jap metal?

I will post one example when i get home! Unless someone beats me to it! :)

  3. Haha hows the collection of Hot Wheels going Tom?

Benefits of working in a toyshop is that i get first dibs on the cars i want plus my 20% discount :D

Luckily theres always a few jdm hot wheels cars but seem to be mostly american/fictional - latter i understand but could do with more european as well as jap stuff.

Years ago i used to collect 1/18 autoart and could get a model from my work for around 50quid after discount. But nowadays 50quid gets you a decent minichamps 1/43 scale model! Atrocious how much they claim cost of metal is and we are supposed to believe thats the reason why models are over double the cost from the cost of models only 10yrs or so back? :(

  4. UPDATES :D

Put the resprayed trim pieces in the car but havent had the chance to take pics till today

Excuse the poor quality pics as they were taken from my moby :)

Trim pieces - not perfect but im impressed on the results! I truly do feel like a hero lol

Also put Top Fuel Gearknob on :D More than likely fake but or 6quid i cant complain!

I thought the Disney Cars decal was appropriate as I am a fan of the cartoon plus the rear bumper could do with some 'rear end treatment' lol

Minion keyring i purchased from my work and its little fit almost touches the floor - god knows what it will be like when its lowered lol

The observant amongst you will realise the dial surround is fake wood still but this will be another time where I can also change the clock bulb.

Next on the pipeline is sourcing MG ZS 180 suspension and Eibach Lowering Springs or if I cant afford that end of this month it will be Rover 45 Team Heko Wind Deflectors.

Also wanna dechrome and colour code the front grille and the rear number plate lip. Since my favourite colours green and dont want to paint it red or black the big 'H' will be green as well as the 'H' logos on the centre caps of the VTI EK Fanblades when I get around to sourcing them and after ive lowered the Civic.

I will debagde the car at some point but the rear wiper will stay as its practical despite being fugly. Green decals will adorn the car starting with a Microsoft inspired '.... INSIDE' - which one will i get? Watch this space!

So far so good and like it states topic name...SIMPLE!

  5. Wonder when these companies will learn that fast and furious styling from the first few films aint vogue any more?

Unfortunately most chavs love these sorts of things.its amazing how much ppl spend on bodykits just to make them look worse than they actually were before.

Im definitely a fan of oem and i think Lip kits are way forward - cheap and require less work to fit.

Best bodykits are ones for more higher performance cars - think Top Secret,Nismo, Do Luck,ChargeSpeed etc - those companies charge a lot but quality and trend are bang on!

  6. Was putting the gearstick surround trim and leather gaitor back onto my MB4 and put my new gearknob on and twisted it till its tight.

Well i heard a click sound when i tightened it up and when got in car to test the new knob (oo er lol) i turned engine over and stalled upon putting car into reverse.

Well after a split second the car worked perfectly fine and although gear changes are slightly more stickier than usual it seems ok. Im just worried that leaving it could cause real trouble further down the line.

The shifter is a standard unit and no im not aggressive during gear changes and i 'palm' the gearknob during changes instead of grasping. Just doesnt seem as smooth as before.worried ive damaged it :(
