  1. Mx5 looks the dogs! But prefer mk1s cos nothing is cooler than pop up headlights lol Well i know what ur car looks like so i can drive away quickly to save my foggies lol
  2. I could sell them - i could buy a short shifter, gear knob, leather gaitors, mats and possibly new head unit with the money? But nope not selling em lol
  3. WRONG!!! ive never towed a trailer ever! You got wrong civic lol mine has a soft toy hanging off it
  4. Wtf u stalking me unicyclingtom? Lol Ive only had the car a week or so if u have seen my car what is hanging on the rear tow hook?
  5. As above do i - - check dipstick when car is cold and hasnt been running (e.g. in last 10hrs) - drive for few mins till engine temp is where it should be then switch off engine, leave for 5mins then check?
  6. That's what the wheels are lol couldnt think what they're called
  7. What wheels has jamesstopdog got for sale? Oh and more plans: - colour code the grille and remove the 'H' badge - colour code the bump strips - colour code the rear license plate holder - debadge the whole car
  8. Didnt know the foglights were rare - thought theyre common as muck on SE models? Well nothing extensive like an engine swap but heres my plans for the next few months: - using toothpaste method/alternative to spring some life into the headlight lenses - respraying all the fake wood in silver - started on 3 pieces already and currently waiting for primer to dry properly before lightly sanding them down ready for base coat - purchasing red stitched leather gaitors for handbrake and gear surround - purchasing skunk2 gearknob - replacing Kenwood head unit with Sony one (hate silver headunits lol) - removal of SRS light on dashboard - removal of rust spots on car The main modifications are as follows: - lowering of civic via mg zs 180 suspension with eibach lowering springs - mg zs front and rear ARB - upper strut brace at the front - bolt on subtle backbox - i had a US type one which was powdercoated black - it was very oem but the tip was an inch or so bigger but looked very stealthy on my civic.i will get my local turbo specialists to fabricate one for me - removal of induction kit possibly and cold air feed (unknown make) and putting normal airbox on - VTI Blade Wheels in Gun Metal (although White RH wheels looked cool - ones I've seen are white with red writing around the allow - look similar to wrc wheels of old) - Wind deflectors - JDM decals - I love stickers on the car windows but no sticker bombing lol
  9. Swapped this for my Ford Focus (plus cash) with a local guy. He couldnt get on with the Honda and I couldnt get on with the Ford so the swap was a ideal solution! Heres some pics HE took (I havent taken any that id call my photos until more works been done to it ) The bodywork is pretty tidy bar the scuff on the back bumper and tiny rust spots and the high mileage is pretty offputting but FULL service history has swayed me away from that mindset! Good starter base me thinks and def more comfortable than my previous jap cars - Ford has it licked on comfort, refinement and ride quality and more fun to drive I hate to state - but this projet is about injecting some fun into the car - and making it less OAP-spec - more my spec!
  10. Well had a go at removing the long piece that runs across dash and it was a pig to remove.even with flathead screwdriver i manage to leave some indentations on the rubber plastic trim :s also snapped all the screw fitments although the springs are fine.just hoping it will go back on when trim pieces are sprayed up lol
  11. Anyone got a pic of their mb3 on MG ZS suspension (theyre shocks and springs)? Wondering if the 2cm or so drop would make a world of difference in terms of stance?
  12. Ive just checked - they look very nice but 60quid??? I suppose its worth it but ideally didnt wanna spend more than 25quid really.would any other mats from other civics fit? Dont want perfect fitment but as long as theyre not too big to go into floor of car
  13. Was thinking of putting an integra type r engine in or h22 from a prelude vti
  14. WHat lowering springs do i buy though - ones for civic or ones for mg zr? Or does it make no difference? Whats the most mg zs standard shocks can take drop wise?
  15. How much were those tailor made mats? They look the dogs whatsits!
  16. I wont be running nething bigger than 15" wheels.i like the fact theyre lighter and small in diameter so handle better. Thinking of swapping my wheels or purchasing some vti blades powdercoated in Gun Metal.i think after lowering it it will look great
  17. Heard a rumour that MG ZS 180 suspension is a good upgrade to the MB3 Oem suspension? Is that the case and by doing so does it lower the car a bit more? The Civic is a nice drive but feels like a boat around corners lol i want the civic to ride nicely and corner like my previous EJ9 civic which cornered well even on lowering springs. If the ride height is similar what springs can i use with the MG ZS suspension to lower it? Dont want coilies as this is my daily drive and cnt justify spending 600 on meister rs I also heard MG ZS ARBs make a world of diff?
  18. Im in the process of removing the fake wood in my MB3 and was wondering if it can be done via trim removal tool/screwdriver. I sanded down the easiest to remove part which is the gearknob surround and primered it. Im going to use Halfords Silver as the colour and wondering how many coats of lacquer are required to not only protect paint but also to make it smooth to the touch and easily wipable when it gets dusty?

  20. New to this forum and owner of a MB3 Civic.Theres some goddamn awful looking rubber mats in the front seats but want to replace them with proper car mats - preferbly black. Ive seen plenty on ebay for EK shape Civics but not any mention of MB Civics. Any links? Halfords said that can custom cut them to fit around contours of the footwells and rear seats but asking for 45quid.
