  1. I haven't even seen any decent snow since I started driving the deck, the last decent snow we had I was driving the prelude and it was a nightmare. I got it stuck up against a kerb and couldn't get it out due the 4ws trying to drag my back wheels up the kerb.
  2. Ahh, I thought it must be something to do with that. It's the first car I've had with a lsd so I've never noticed it before.
  3. This morning I jacked my car up to refit the decat and dropped it on to some axle stands. Once fitted I started the engine to check the exhaust for leaks but whilst I was under it I noticed the front wheel was turning. I checked that the car was in neutral and it was so I turned the engine off and started it again and sure enough the wheel started turning again. When I touched the wheel it stopped but when I let go it started again. Now as far as I know when the car is in neutral, regardless of what position the clutch is in, there should be no connection between the engine and the wheels. I'm guessing there must be some other logical explanation to this. Anyone got any ideas ?
  4. That alone wasn't enough to get it through unfortunately, I was stung for a new cat as well but it did help.
  5. It took me about the same due to work commitments and other stuff but to be honest it was quite a time consuming job. I've now got to start on the accord rear calipers as they are in a sorry state now too. Hopefully will be running the same setup as the deck but will have to contact mtec to see if they will make me up some rear discs as they currently don't stock them.
  6. Brakes are now complete and look something like this The car also failed it mot on emissions which was a bit unexpected. I had refitted the cat and the original ecu but it seems that was not enough so I had my local exhaust specialist fit a new cat and thought I'd try giving it a terraclean. For anyone that doesn't know, a terraclean is like a fuel treatment that is connected directly to your fuel system and pumped in via a machine. I spotted it on wheeler dealers and its benefits are well documented. Plus I found that my local terraclean agent lived in the next street to me so it was quite convenient. After the process was completed it went straight to the test centre and flew threw the emissions test with virtually no co emissions and very little hydrocarbons. The brakes are now fully bedded in and are excellent. Very progressive with a much firmer feel to them. It also seems to run much smoother after the terraclean and I can barely hear it when idling. Would definitely recommend it to anyone having emissions problems or even just to refresh a tired engine. I can also now report that the brakes have now been on the car for more than a fortnight without it being cleaned and there is not a single spec of brake dust to be seen on my white wheels. It would seem that the mtec discs and hawk pads is probably the best all round set up I've ever fitted to a car.
  7. The dents were removed by a guy who my partner knows. He does all the contract work for the dealership that she works for. Just using standard fluid, I have no real reason to use anything other, I used ate super blue in the prelude and will probably do the same again but my deck is never likely to see track time.
  8. Right guys, I haven't been online in ages but some time ago I mentioned sorting my brakes out. Anyway I didnt and last month the deck failed its MOT on brakes as expected. Since then I've been in the process of stripping and rebuilding the braking system. I haven't quite finished yet but here are some photos so far. This is one of the front pads, no wonder it failed. All the calipers were shot blasted and treated to a number of coats of smooth red Hammerite. The calipers were then rebuilt with all new seals and fitted with hawk HPS pads. I decided to take the advise offered and go with Mtec discs but with the black coating and also a set of Hel braided hoses to finish of the set up. So far the front drivers side is the only one fitted, the other calipers are still to assemble. I'll update further when I finish the rest.

    P72 ECU Help

Yeah I kinda just figured that out. I think I'm just gonna get one imported from the states. It's more money but at least I know what I'm getting and the results are well documented. Thanks for the help though.

    P72 ECU Help

Hmmm, hadn't really thought about the speed limiter lol. Not that I'm worried, 112mph is plenty fast enough for now. The only reason I ask is that there is a cheap ecu on eBay but it's from a JDM sir-g, still a p72 but with 012 code. I can't seem to find any info on this car or it's ecu so I guess I'm just gonna have to pass. I don't want to buy only to find that it's no good.

    P72 ECU Help

Morning guys, I'm looking to run a P72 ecu in my deck. As far as I am aware this would give me a more aggressive map in standard form and the ability to chip and map it further down the line ? I've managed to find out how to fit one and which pins to solder but I was wondering which P72 I should use. I've come across a few with different numbers after the P72 part of the code but I'm not sure what the differences are (if any). Does anyone have any experience with these ecu's. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  12. Anyway this thread has gotten somewhat off topic so here's some more deck stuffing.
  13. But that means you need a pan, there was clearly no room for a pan in the back of that accord.
  14. Of course, it's better now too as our accord wagon is long enough to stretch out in. It's like a JDM camper.
  15. There's no place for classy snacks at a festival though, squares are for glampers. Somewhere in that accord there is a 12 pack of pot noodles too, standard festival diet.
