  1. Yeah its confusing as everywhere I look they got both sizes. Dealership don't know the size either which is rather annoying as the one place you'd expect to know, Don't know.
  2. Ahh brilliant. Thanks for confirming Chandler.
  3. Hi Chandler, I checked on Euro and it is what is showing the two sizes. Also I checked brake int which is also showing both.
  4. Hello All, Sorry to hijack this thread, but when I check they are both giving two different sizes for rear disc and caliper. Im seeing 240mm and 260mm. Its saying 260mm from 01/1999 and 240mm to 01/1999 :S Any ideas what the correct size is for the MC1? Mines is a T reg but I do not know the build date.
  5. I have one more question. Do all these civic's have a timing belt or chain?
  6. sweet. Thank you all for your help.
  7. ahh ok, lol, so I would expect to be filling up £50 - £55. but i do a lot of motorway driving and a roads. Would 35-40mpg be a realistic figure for a 1.6 auto?
  8. Thanks philgor. How big are the tanks on these cars?
  9. Ahh ok, yes I guess that does make sense. I used to have a 540i Auto then got a Manual and the difference in MPG was a lot. (14 MPG vs 21 MPG) What would the 1.6 be like if anyone who owns or has owned a 1.6. What is the fuel consumption like from your observations?
  10. Hello All, I'm still looking around for a good Civic to buy, but i wanted to know out of curiosity as to how much the difference is in mpg between manual and auto as I've seen a nice aerodeck in auto but also a good 1.5 manual. As I know Auto's tend to use a bit more fuel, but can't find a good thread or much on google to determine this. I understand that everyone has different types of drives such as all town to mixed or full motorway.

Also, whats the maintenance like for this car? I see it has a cambelt, are these reasonably priced jobs at dealers?

    1.5 engines

Thank you all for your help here. I'm honestly just looking for an economical car that's cheap to buy and run. Would go for diesel but don't want to risk things going wrong especially when they're old. So I'll be looking out for a 1.5 vtec.

Thank you KiNK43 for confirming that. Do you happen to know any more about the 1.5 engines and the Eco Mode? Is this just for the 1.5 VTEC engines?

    1.5 engines

For example i have seen this aerodeck which just says 1.5 Ls in the title http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201511058453236?search-target=usedcars&page=1&model=civic_aerodeck&sort=default&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&make=honda&quicksearch=true&postcode=ub108te&radius=1500&logcode=p However I read it would have to eb the 1.5 Vtec to get this eco mode?

    1.5 engines

Hello everyone, I have searched the forum but cannot find solid information. I like the idea of VTEC-E and would like to go for a 1.5 civic. However I do not know if all 1.5's have the VTEC-E facility. Can someone please confirm if all 1.5's are with the Eco light etc or only a certain year? Thanks, amand
