i fitted my coilovers from my mb6 on to my ek4, so theres no reason why it cant be reversed

Yes, they both use the same fork type fitting.

You can also use DC2 suspension if you fit DC2 lower control arms at the same time (eye type fitting not fork).

Also from my searching EG rear suspension will fit if you use a 5mm spacer either side of the fork (some of the universal suspension kits actually supply this) or you can swap an EG bushing into the EK/MB lower control arm.

Or you can use EG rear control arms with the EG suspension.

But you can only use aftermarket EG rear control arms with EK/MB suspension if you can either file down the bushing or swap out the bushing for a smaller EK/MB one.
