Guest Posted October 18, 2010 Share Posted October 18, 2010 You need 16cm speakers for a straight fit but sadly you cant find many today in that size as most are 17cm. Try some of the Pioneer speakers from a few years back in 16cm format they should fit straight in but be carefull as you are limited to depth also. stoatman Posted October 20, 2010 Author Share Posted October 20, 2010 Hmm, I wish I new about the depth issue. i bought some infinity 16cm speakers. Looked great , tried to fit them but neither the mounting plate will attach properly nor the factor plastic speaker cages are deep enough to accomodate them. Bah , I dont know what to do now. I wanted an easy install. I may have to copy the shape of the back of the speaker cage in MDF then screw this to the door then the speaker to the wood.
