azim Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 hi, i am getting fed up with my mb6 the steering is really stiff and it feels as if there is no power steering whatsoever and my previous mb6 was the same! is this a common fault ? power stering fluid is where it should be all tires aligned and balanced and as i said it seems a common problem... if you have driven an ek or any other PAS car it feels such a big difference! pleasse help its really putting me off Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

johngreen537 Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Maybe an air pocket in the rack mate...With the engine running, take the lid off the power steering fluid, go from full lock one way and hold it there for 10 seconds, then do it the other way, about 10 or so times.... There is no bleed nipple for the power steering fluid, and thats the recommended way to fill it up after a rack change, so I'd give it a go.
