how do i reset ecu, done search already

the easyest way i found is turn the ignition on and off 21 times (on for 1 sec then off for 1 sec )

this should reset the ecu peramiters and clear codes that have been stored says haynes manual .

then when you have done 21 on/off the next one (22 on) start your engine .

this should have reset the ecu .

i do this when i change from 95 ron to 98 ron .

also iv done the full reset which is the above after taking the 7.5 amp back up fuse out fo 10 min !!!

does this work on mb3 .i dont have a fuse for ecu and the back up one says back up lights ???

Are you sure ur looking at the fuses in the engine bay and not inside the car? (near the steering wheel)

lol no one mentioned engine bay lol :lol::lol::lol:

Yeah i just done a ECU reset, was looking at the internal fuses but couldnt find the ecu and back up fuses :shock:

yeah quite a bit! i orignally had on my vti-s a 4-2-1 mani, full powerflow exhaust and a non-branded cone filter. I found a BMC DIA too cheap to resist so installed that along with a cold air feed. after fitting it i noticed a 'flatspot' which after resetting the ecu disapeared! also now pulls harder when out of vtec (2-3k rpm). :D
