pulling to one side under load

Well, i noticed as above that one side tyre was directional, and one side wasnt and was extra load. Turns out the directional one was the only one on the car, the other 3 wheels all had nondirectional extra load tyres.

Swapped it on the offchance and it now pulls fine. So odd. Feels lighter on the steering too.

Anyway, theres perhaps an underlying balljoint problem, but if anyone is searching this and wondering what to do, my advice is to just fit two tyres the same on the front. Oh yeah, i have 17"s fitted.

Thanks for all the replies above.

Thats about it. I just dont see how it can affect the car so much. Perhaps its something to do with the gearbox being on the o/s? Who knows. Ive had a lot of cars, and a lot of them have had 17"s and odd tyres. Never had problems like the above though.

the only theory i have is that because one tyre was extra load, the wall will have been stronger. if the other tyre wall deformed under torque, even by a few mm, it would have caused it..
