Key fob has disintegrated

Hi Guys,

The key fob for my MB2 has pretty much had it, the buttons have disintegrated and fallen out and its playing up quite a bit. Ive read (and know) Honda will charge a fortune for one of these, its just a simple 2 button job.

Anyone replaced one or found a way to do it without the intervention of our Honda fiends?

Cheers

think you buy them off ebay buddy,

search honda/rover remote fob.

think also you can go direct and buy a refurb kit from hamilton parker (i think they made the alarm/fobs)

Rover type 2 button remote - Please note that new & secondhand fobs CANNOT be programmed to another car without dealer attention!

Unlock the car using the key, then operate the lock button on the handset at least 4 times.

Who would have thought such a simple thing would cost so much? I bet its cheaper to get a whole central locking alarm system fitted!

Might get one and give it a go, dont mind using the key, it just seems a bit, well, primative!
