GreenVTi991
My MB6 is fitted with 5mm spacers on the front so the itr wheels fit. Should I fit 5mm spacers to the back too, just to even things up?

wezza9
in my opinion they look really good and are light and i like they for road use but it i push the car or track it then no i am after std MB6 wheels cause i will not use spacers ever again unless they have the spigots on for road i have 16" ( look right size on the car to me )for track 15" ( tyrers cheaper too better feel i think too on the limit )
noodels
5mm non hubcentric on the front bad idea 3mm on the front still bad idea for track use.as center hub flange not sufficient for cornering forces involvedwith spacers with non hub centers option =machine calipers with a grinder use hubcentric spacers use 262 ITR front discs/calipers
noodels
copied this from crx-uk they are doing groupies you know Firstly, have you got standard fitment alloys, with the standard centrebore size, or do you need spigot rings to centre them properly? (Or should you have them but haven't got them fitted?) If you have the standard centrebore, you cant fit a 3 or 4mm spacer which are hubcentric, as there's still some of the lip on the hub to locate your wheel on. They need to be at least 11mm thick. If you have aftermarket wheels with a larger centrebore, then this isn't a problem, as we can machine them larger than 3-4mm and machine the correct lip onto the spacer for the wheels you've got. freaky parts also said>>Ignoring the numbers (this represents the centrebore size on your hub) the black outline is your hub. The centre protrudes around 9mm, with usually a 1mm taper at the end so you can fit the wheel on easily. If you fit a 3mm spacer, you'll still have 5mm to locate your wheel onto. Any thicker and there's not enough meat on there to support the wheel. To make it hubcentric you need to make the spacer at least as thick as the current centrebore, and then a little more so you have some material on the spacer to machine the new centrebore in (see the red section of the drawing). If, however, your wheels are aftermarket, and say they have a 74mm centrebore, there's no issue as we can just machine a lip around the existing centrebore that's the correct diameter.
