Been thinking about launch control for a bit NOw and one thing that bugs me is if its programded onto the ecu its activated by being stationary or under a certain speed, is the any way of wireing this to a switch on the dash??? As id prefere that,

And another one  we all know that the vtis a thirsty b****r at times so could two maps be run on two ecus to switch from eco to "race" while on the move as opposed to swapping ecus?

Bit of a long shot but Surly its possible.

You cannot wire the launch control to a switch as its controlled by the speed sensor , the ecu has loads of lines of map and depends on manifold pressure but up to 60% throttle it runs on a low fuel part of the map and adjusts small amounts through the 02 sensor . once you have full throttle you run on a high fuel part of the map .So there would be no point in 2 ecus .

Cheers for that rich, in regards to the launch control and changing the rpm do you have to have a subscription to have the crome program on your comp? I want to be able to change it when i wanted within reason as if it was set to 4k for arguments sake it might be spot on for one track, but on another it might bog down or spin up.

You can get a free download of chrome off the net but its not the full version. you need a chip burner and reader as you will need to remove the chip from your ecu read the chip make the changes and then reburn the chip and then refit it to the ecu .

H-tune do a 2-chip socket that allows you to switch between maps if you really want to, but I agree with Rich. Your right foot has far more effect on the economy than the tuning of the engine!
