KiNK43 Posted December 12, 2009 Share Posted December 12, 2009 i have a similar problem with grinding noise only under light braking. i have figured that there is some play in the pad down to the fitting kit. and also on inspection the caliper side pins were stuck in.i resolved temporarily by fitting new pads with loads of copper grease and unseizing the side pins. still need the fitting shims to permanantly fix. lacos Posted October 23, 2010 Author Share Posted October 23, 2010 right still got this brake prop it seems to do it if braking on gravel or grass muddy roads but also if the car gets light or on uneven surface , was breaking the other day and went over a bump in the road pedal went to the floor abs light came on for a sec then went out , it also shakes an the passenger side , my steering rack has a leak Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
civicturbo79 Posted October 23, 2010 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Sound just like what happens when the abs is working to me , when the abs is working the pedel will drop as the abs is leting off brake pressure applied by your foot to stop the wheels with no traction from locking up , the brack pedel will also pulse under your foot . jonnyricer Posted October 23, 2010 Share Posted October 23, 2010 may seem odd but try looking at the drive shaft relucter ring the castle type up and down bit the sensor relies on t see if wheel is is skidding etcthe may have cracked due corrosion causing it to open up and rub on the sensorwhen this happens the abs doesnt no what to do so sets abs off Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
