Space Savers

I need to change the tyre on my spare but was starting to wonder if I should just replace it with a space saver to save a little bit of weight as they seem to be around the same price as a decent replacement tyre.

Anyone else done the same?

Would they cover the brakes if I needed to put it on the front?

Would it throw an ABS light on our cars?

Anything else I'd need to consider?

Summat like this

The Newer hawk eye STI's, EvoX's and Focus ST's (And RS') come with these. My mate got a flat on the way home from Glasgow once, opened his boot looking for a tyre and found that in his RS (09) so they must be decent(ish)

And don't forget its only to get you to a nearest garage for a swap but I know he drove on it for about 2months (not recommended!)
