Sooo i was looking at some exhaust system then i came across HKS T409 products uptill now i only knew T304 so question is how reliable that stuff is? And the difference between T304 v T409 ?

HKS is a known brand dont think they would make anything bad i saw some of their exhaust muffler/bacbox which looks good to me but it says they r made of T409 can any1 elaborate how reliable is this steel plz :D

Also be very very very wary, HKS only use T304, GodSpeed makes some HKS Copy systems with the HKS badge from T409 O_O

nice read that...t304 is better.

Ye T304 is better thats why i was looking for answer when i saw HKS tag on them bt they nt so cheap...even if they are fake copies the backbox is around 75-80 quid 0_0

Had a Propper HKS for my 180SX (SR20DET) cost me £630 + £170 shipping  :roll: The Spoon System for the EK was £600 

That was the whole lot, mani, down, sportcat and pipes

Darn thats a bit costly :D but u changed the whole exhaust still thats nt cheap :o btw what difference can a sport cat make? And does it pass the mot ?any diffetence in sound with sport cat? And gains?

Sports cat is still emissions legal, its less restrictive and gives you a nice grumble whilst still being emissions passable!

FYI-difference between T409/T304 stainless steel

I found this on the net and decided to post this as a FYI just incase people are wondering the difference between T409/T304 stainless steel

The most common stainless steel used by muffler shop is the T-409. Borla 

use T-304 stainless steel grade. It's why the price is so different. A 

Borla looks great and will shine for ever!

T-409 is good for peoples who live where there are no calcium or where the 

corrosion is not a problem.

T-304 is for north american and canadian peoples who want to keep their
